"Hey! You get back here!" The new Queen runs through the tall wheat grass, chasing some kids around.
I lean against the fence with my brother, Armin, and Jean. We're just watching her, still in shock over the whole Queen thing.
"Nice 'palace'," Jean scoffs as we look at the rural farm were on. It's a place Historia is keeping her orphans and sickly people.
"Yeah she's not exactly regal," Armin smiles softly.
"Well it's only been two months since she's been crowned," Jean points out to us. "But it seems like she'd rather run an orphanage than a kingdom."
I put the point of my boots on the ground and twist my ankle around. I can't believe it's already been two months since she was crowned. A lot has happened these past sixty days, but I'm mostly happy no one has died. We've been lucky with the peaceful living.
"Have you heard the new name the people came up with for her?" Armin questions and we shake our heads. "They call her the Cattle-Farming Goddess. I think it's a term of endearment."
"Not the first time she's been called a goddess," Jean points out. I look up at him with my eyes narrowed and he just grins down at me. "You know, if this keeps up, no ones gonna remember the chump who plugged up the wall in Trost."
I slap Jeans arm and roll my eyes at him. He knows I technically helped with that too, right?
"This is part of why Historia agreed to become Queen in the first place," my brother speaks up. "So she could do all this."
"Do what?" Armin looks at Eren.
"She went from the underground to the edge of the walls and saved all the orphans and needy she could find. She even got the captain into it, since he grew up under grown," Eren looks out at our friends playing with some of the children. "When she sees someone crying and saying that no one needs them, she has to prove them wrong. She told me that she needs them to be okay."
"So she had to prove you wrong a lot then, right?" I snicker and Eren leans of the fence to slap my head, but I dodge it.
"Slacking off again, huh?" Historia runs over to us. "It's getting dark, you know!"
I laugh and pull Jeans hand, taking us over to the supplies we need to bring in to the warehouses. I bend over to grab a couple boxes, but my head begins pounding and I tumble over.
"Sophie!" Jean shouts just as my vision turns black.
~MEMORY~
"Remember Sophie," my dad stares down at me. "Only one of you can truly hold the power of the Titans. Soon you will not be able to transform or use the power of the Titan inside you. Once your memories are awakened, your time limit is up."
"Will I die?" I question with worry traced in my tone.
"No you will just go back to being human," he pulls me into a hug. "You only get a few years with this power Sophie, so use it wisely. Then when the time comes, you need to let the power go. It'll happen naturally, just don't fight it. This needs to go to Eren."
"Why not me?"
"Because Eren is who is meant to have the Titan power," my dad bends down to my eye level and kisses my forehead. "Just trust me. I only turned you too as a back up plan in case something happened to Eren. This has to be done... Eren is fated to hold the full power of the founding and attack Titan."
~END~
"Sophie are you okay?" Armin kneels beside Jean who is holding me in his lap.
