Draco POV //

Listening to her screams was unbearable. I'd never felt the urge to kill someone so much in my life. I couldn't take it anymore, I grabbed my wand and made my way to the door. I was about to pull it open but I couldn't. The door was locked. I tried to pull it open with all my strength but it wouldn't budge.

"Alohomora!" I screamed at the door, nothing happened. "Bombarda!" I screamed, nothing happened again. "MOTHER!" I screamed as I slammed my hands on the door. She knew I would try to get out, she did something to the door.

What was I supposed to do now? I could hear her horrifying screams. I was able to barely drown them out with my own screams but it was no use after a while. I buried my head under my pillows and covers and continued screaming, and crying.

Why had I brought her here? If I'd never dated her would she be safe now? Was Potter really worth all of this?

I kept dozing off from exhaustion. Now that I'd thought about it I hadn't slept in what felt like months. I felt myself drifting off into a deep sleep when I heard the door lock click. I got up from my bed and grabbed my wand.

"Who's there?" I asked.

"Mr.Malfoy, your mother has sent me, they are leaving on a mission, the house will be empty for about 4 hours. I've been left to watch the house." Snape walked in.

"Where is she?" I asked feeling a sense of trust in him.

"In the dungeons..." He began walking away "Mr.Malfoy, I will be checking the outside of the house, you could keep watch inside. I hope you've been practicing your healing spells. " He added turning around and giving me a stern look before walking off.

I furrowed my brows trying to figure out if he actually meant what I thought he meant. I stood by the door and waited to hear the house emptying. About 5 minutes after Snape left I heard the door opening and shutting.

I walked out of my room cautiously and decided to take a walk around the mansion quickly to check that it was empty. It was except for the house-elves here and there whom I made sure to tell to keep their mouth shuts about what was happening soon.

I never let go of my wand as I made my way around the house, I ran across the mansion towards the dungeons. I took a deep breath as I walked down the stairs not sure if I was ready to see what state she was in. I heard concerned whispers as I came closer to the door.

I opened the door, all eyes landed on me.

"Draco?" Luna called my name.

"You can't take her again! She's barely alive!" y/n's mother screamed at me. Her body was covering y/n so I still couldn't get a good look at her.

"No, he won't hurt her. We can trust him." Luna smiled at me. I squeezed her hand as I walked past her.

I saw Y/n mother was still reluctant to let me close to y/n, I didn't blame her. I made my way around her and I saw y/n laying lifeless in her arms. She was barely recognizable from all the cuts and bruises spread all over her body. I gasped and my breath hitched as I knelt down next to her.

"I have to take her," I whispered extending my arms ready to wrap them around y/n.

y/n mother squeezed her tighter and looked into my eyes. "No, I can't lose her too." She whispered.

"I won't let that happen, I can't lose her either. She's the love of my life." I told her not breaking eye contact. I saw her relax and I took this opportunity to take y/n from her arms.

___

I brought her up into my room and laid her on my bed. I felt my whole body shaking at the uncertainty of her wounds. She was pale and cold and I knew she was losing blood fast. I tried to think of the healing spells I knew.

"Episkey," I whispered hovering my wand over her body. I saw a couple of gashes in her body heal but that still wasn't much use.

I thought about performing the reviving spell on her but I knew that if I woke her up it would be worse since she would only feel the pain. I knew I could try the spell Snape had used on me even though I'd never done it.

"Vulnera Sanentur" I whispered lifting my wand and hovering it over her body. Nothing happened. "Vulnera Sanentur." I tried again. Still, nothing happened. I brought my hands up to my face frustrated. I took a deep breath. "Vulnera Sanentur." I tried again. This time I saw all the gashes in her body healing.

I smiled as I watched her regain color. Once the gashes were healed I saw her shift her body and get more comfortable on my bed. I felt a burst of energy as I watched her sleep comfortably. A faint smile on her lips.

I wanted to wake her so badly but I knew she hadn't slept in months either and she needed rest which she wouldn't get in the cold and hard dungeon floors. I kept a careful watch at the time as I let her sleep.

1 hour had passed and she was still fast asleep. I thought I'd lock my door and get some food for Luna, Mr. Olivanders, and y/n mother. I made my way to the kitchen and asked the elves to cook something up quickly. Once they were done I took the plates down to the dungeons.

"Where is she?" I heard her mother ask as soon as I opened the door.

"She's sleeping on my bed, she's all healed, I'll bring her back in a few hours," I told her. I saw her relax.

"What's this?" Luna asked looking at the plates hovering behind me.

"Oh, I've brought something for you. I'm sure you must be hungry." I told them hovering the plates over to them. Luna and Mr. Ollivanders took them instantly but y/n mother was still a little reluctant. "y/n told me about you and my father. I can assure you I'm nothing like him." I saw her flinch slightly at the mention of my father but she took the plate without saying another word.

Once they were done I cleaned the plates up and made my way out. "Draco, can you tell Theo I'm ok," Luna asked me before I walked up the steps.

"Of course." I nodded giving her a slight smile.

I made my way back to the kitchen where I saw the elves had cooked up a bigger plate, that I had planned to take to y/n for when she woke up. I took it and made my way upstairs.
