SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

"Oh, look!" Beomgyu pointed at a tall, distant structure. Myeonji's eyes snapped upwards to see what Beomgyu had been talking about and she softly giggled upon realizing what he was talking about. "I heard the view there is absolutely incredible!" He beamed, his grip on Myeonji's hand tightening in the process.

"Seoul City Tower?" Myeonji asked, wanting confirmation that the tower was the reason her boyfriend was getting excited. When he nodded, she laughed. "Why are you so enthusiastic? You've never been?" A frown appeared on her face as she pulled the two of them to a stop. It was absolutely ridiculous if Beomgyu's never been—even Myeonji has and she's basically lived outside of Korea her whole childhood.

Beomgyu chuckled after seeing the sad smile on Myeonji's face, so, he wrapped his arms around her frail body and rocked the both of them back and forth. "No, my mother and father never took me..." He whispered gently, half hoping that she wouldn't hear hence he knew that she was already sad about it.

"That's it, let's go," Beomgyu was harshly yet gently pushed aside and Myeonji was storming to the lines for the carts that would lead them up the mountain. It was either paying a couple bucks or walking and she definitely preferred the first option.

Beomgyu was taken aback, shocked that she was doing something about it. "What—what are you doing?" He questioned with frantic eyes. He brushed past people, apologizing as he hit a couple of them as he tried his best to follow his girlfriend. "I have to take you home! It's like, 10 PM, Myeon!" Beomgyu rushed in front of Myeonji. He held her by the arms, urging her to stop.

"Beomgyu..." Myeonji started. "I... Don't want to go home just yet. Everything's been so hectic, it can't hurt to get my mind off of it for a couple hours." He was now looking at her with sadness and empathy. Beomgyu knew what was going on at home for her—everyone who cared about the famous Hwang's did, for a fact.

"Okay, then," He softly pressed his lips against her forehead. As Myeonji's gaze trailed back up, she was met with a grinning Beomgyu who instantly latched his hand back onto hers. "Let's go before it gets too late."

With a huge smile on her face, Myeonji chuckled before taking the lead, walking past the crowded area of Seoul to get in line. Thankfully, it was quite quick—given that the two were there at nighttime—so it wasn't too long till the couple found themselves inside the metal cable car as they ascended to the top of the mountain.

"I hate to bring this up, but how's life at home?" Beomgyu felt the need to ask. Myeonji was looking out the plexiglass window as she heard him ask which ultimately brought a small frown on her lips. However, she wasn't going to get annoyed by it. He was her boyfriend, he had the right to know what was going to happen to her and her family the next few weeks.
