Myeonji entered her first class after ten minutes of wandering around the halls to find it. Turns out it was the one right across Chaewon's class. The first thing Myeonji noticed was the empty seat right in front of the door. The one in the corner which she immediately sat down in. Myeonji put down her bag and sighed as she had accomplished getting into her class.

Myeonji looked around the classroom and took out exactly what the students had out. Some textbooks, a notebook and a few pencils. When she looked back up again, she met eyes with the teacher. Shoot. Myeonji was expecting the teacher to get mad but she wasn't. Maybe she cut her some slack since she was new.

"Well, well..." The teacher spoke interrupting her lesson. "Looks like our real new student has arrived." She waved Myeonji over to her, to the front of the class. All the students looked where the teacher was and Myeonji began to feel the pressure. The teacher with her welcoming smile waved to Myeonji again. "Come on, introduce yourself."

Myeonji looked around and noticed everyone was looking at her. Screw it, she thought and then stood up. Sure she was nervous but still, she wanted to leave a good impression.

"Hello," Myeonji bowed as she reached the front of the class. "My name is Hwang Myeonji—"

She was cut off by a ring from her hoodie pocket. Some students giggled and some whispered. Not knowing what to do, Myeonji looked back up at the teacher.

"Myeonji, welcome to the class. But we have one rule with Love Alarm. It is to be turned off during classes, okay?" She explained. Another ring came from Myeonji's hoodie pocket. She felt her cheeks warm up. The teacher giggled. "Please turn off your phone, seems like you will be getting more." She winked.

Myeonji bowed and apologized one last time to both the teachers and the students. She started walking to her desk and a few more rings rang as she was walking. This made the students laugh.

Once in her seat, Myeonji grabbed her phone and opened the Love Alarm app under her desk.

'7 PEOPLE WITHIN A 10M RADIUS IS IN LOVE WITH YOU!'

"That's a lot of people."

Myeonji looked beside her and found a boy with dark overgrown hair. It was slightly covering his eyes. She looked back at her phone and turned off the app and put her phone on silent. "Well, what can I do about it." She replied not making eye contact with him.

"My name's Hueningkai." He introduced himself.

"Myeonji." She replied slightly nodding at the boy.

"So tell me, Myeon," Hueningkai asked looking forward. It was Myeonji's turn to look at him. "How on earth do you get so many hearts?"

Myeonji looked around the room after getting her food from the lunch ladies. Her posture straightened as she found her friend waving to her. She moved past boys, girls and tables and then finally made it to her friend.

"So?" Chaewon asked Myeonji as she grabbed her chopsticks. "How were your first four classes?"

"Uh, they were alright." She replied. "Kind of sucks though, how we aren't at all in one class together."

Chaewon ate her noodles and not being able to speak, she just nodded. Myeonji took a bite of her sandwich as Chaewon wiped her mouth. "Do you like anyone here?"

Myeonji stopped what she was doing and froze for a couple of seconds. "What? No." Myeonji scoffed. "Why the sudden question?"

"Oh wait, sorry let me rephrase that: Do you find anyone cute?" Chaewon asked, again pointing a chopstick at her.

This time, Myeonji actually thought for a while. "Nope."

"Damn, Myeon. How tall are your standards?" Chaewon joked before taking in another bite of her noodles.

"Taller than my grades—"

Just then, a crowd of people in the back corner of the room started yelling. It startled Myeonji at first but then it died down. A boy with blue hair rose from his seat.

"Who rang Beomgyu's Love Alarm?" He asked everyone in the cafeteria. No one answered. "Come on it was just a few seconds ago. I know you're hiding~" He smiled.

Myeonji's eyes turned to Chaewon as she scoffed and grabbed Myeonji's strawberry milk, opened it, and drank it. "Yeah idiot, no wondering she's hiding..." She whispered.

"Why is she hiding?" Myeonji asked. Chaewon looked up to meet eyes with her whilst in the middle of drinking the girls strawberry milk.

"Well, Beomgyu is sort of the cold kid in our school, remember? I told you, he's the sort of new kid. His friends over there convinced him to return and they're all hot— sorry." She coughed. "Don't get me wrong, if Beomgyu had a brighter more happy personality, I'd be head over heels for him," Chaewon admitted. "But he rejects everyone who's confessed to him. So you-" Chaewon poked Myeonji's nose. "-Don't fall for him."

"How do you know so much about him? And his friends?" Myeonji asked.

Chaewon looked at the blue-haired boy's table then back at Myeonji. "Eh, I was Beomgyu's friend too."

"Was?"

"Uh-huh."
