10. Mushrooms

Chad feels he couldn't keep eating Shane's food for free.

He orders Shane's favorite foods. Let his father's man to take them to the mountain villa.

"I did it. Shane would love these foods."

Toda shakes his head when he overheard the phone call.

Please spare us, single dogs. Just get together.

They obviously love each others very much. They even know each other's favorite foods.

Shane squeezes fluffy white buns in his hand. Soft. Bouncy. Reminded him of something familiar. His gaze falls to Chad's perky ass.

Is Chad referring to something naughty? Does it mean he wants me too? I miss slapping his firm ass.

He bites the bun filled with Taro. He licks the dropping liquid.

Chad looks another way. Hard to move on with such perfect ex.

Lust shown in Shane's eyes. Making it harder for Chad to swallow his meat bun. He wonders what crossed Shane's mind. He looks so sexy.

Shane loves fluffy white buns. He often bought them back then. When they're still living together.

Chicken mushroom noodles. It's also bought from his favorite food stall.

Shane eats his meal while wondering when he could get laid again. He finishes his dinner and washes the dirty plate.

Suddenly his body is getting hot. He is panting. Breathing harder.

No way! Did Chad add aphrodisiac to the meal? He didn't need it. I would happily make love to him anytime.

He crashes down to the floor. His skin felt itchy as if millions bugs are swarming underneath.

"Shane! Shane! What's wrong with you? Help! Somebody help!"

Chad kept screaming for help. Tears are streaming down from his cheeks.

Shane is dying right in front of his eyes.

The others have arrived. The mountain villa is too far from the city. Can't wait for an ambulance to arrive.

Toda and another Alpha lift up Shane. They put him in a car. Toda is driving it. Chad is sitting next to Shane. He puts Shane's head on his lap.

Chad says, "Don't die, okay? Please...I'll do anything. Just stay alive."

Toda is silent. He focuses his eyes on the road. The journey to hospital seems endless. Actually it only takes forty minutes. The road is fortunately empty tonight.

The doctors do preliminary checks on him.

Chad couldn't stop crying.

Shane is going to die. He won't be able to see him again.

Toda is silent.

If Ryan has suffered a sudden misfortune, he might act like Chad.

The Alpha hugs Chad. He says nothing at all. Just letting him cry to his heart content.

Ryan has seen them. He feels upset to see Toda is holding another Omega. He grits his teeth. He knows there is nothing between Toda and Chad. His heart still burns out of jealousy.

He sighs. He leaves the spot to buy some bottled water for them. They might have to wait for a while. Until the results come out.

Am I dying again? Did someone poison me? I can't die yet! I haven't made up with Chad...

That's what crossed his mind during his trip to the hospital. He vaguely could hear Chad's voice. Keep begging him to stay alive.

Finally the doctor let them see Shane. The guy looks awful. His face is pale and a bit green. He just got his stomach content pumped out of his system.

Chad asks, "Doctor, did he have a heart attack?"

Toda comments, "Food poisoning. That's gotta be it."

The Alpha has overheard a doctor said to a nurse they had to pump out his stomach content.

Shane asks, "Am I going to die?"

The doctor stares them dumbfounded.

He explains, "People died from allergy is less than what has been believed. The symptoms might look terrible enough. Don't really caused death."

Shane asks, "Allergy? I don't have any allergy."

"Most folks don't know until they got a nasty reaction when they come contact with the allergen materials."

"Doc, he ate all his favorite foods tonight. He often ate them in the past."

The doctor says, "It doesn't need to be food allergen. It could be flower pollen, bugs or anything. We will know better when we have more test results."

Shane closes his eyes and groans a little bit. He finally remembered.

Few days ago, he suddenly felt his body is a bit hot. Two female customers are discussing their allergies while eating cakes.

One of them said she was allergic to mushroom. Acute kind that could lead to death.

Shane remembered because he pitied her. Mushrooms are very delicious and he favors them very much.

He comments, "Mushroom. I'm allergic to them. Just check it, Doc."

Chad stares him as if he's crazy. He had seen Shane ate mushroom dishes in the past. Nothing ever happened.

Is it another butterfly effect because of his rebirth?

The doctor and Toda have left, leaving Shane and Chad alone.

Shane smiles weakly.

He asks, "You said you would grant me anything. If I didn't die?"

"You..."

"Be my boyfriend. I promise things would be different this time. I would cherish you for life. Pampered you until you're fat and fluffy like white bun."

"I don't want to be fatty."

"Chad, please..."

To think he might have lost him tonight.

His fear of losing him is greater than his fright of getting heartbroken again.

Chad closes his eyes and finally nods his head.

"Thank you. Won't regret this decision. I promise."

Shane urges Toda to take Chad home for resting. He is okay to be alone in the hospital. It's just allergic. He would stay for a day or two in the hospital.

It's already late. Toda promises to tell Shane's family in the morning.

Shane has fallen asleep. He wakes up before dawn. He overheard two nurses are gossiping about a patient.

"You saw his size?"

"Yeah. It's so big and long. His wife might be very lucky."

"He is handsome too. Like an actor."

The nurses have walked away.

Shane's body suddenly feels a bit hot, especially his little brother down there.

No, no, no...

He opens his blanket and stares to his big rod. His thing just grows into super size. He gulps.

Chad might change his mind after seeing his current size.

Shane curses in his heart.

Why the wish is granted randomly? Already had too many problems in hands.

He has no choice. He better stocks many lubricant bottles back home. In the future, Chad might desparately need them. Can't let him get hurt.
