22. A New Friend

Ling Wen and his son are strolling in marketplace today. He is going to buy ingredients to make the last dish. Making hotpot required a lot of ingredients.

A beautiful ger and few men are arguing at the busy marketplace.

A man mocks, "No wonder no one wanted you. Too poisonous tongue. You could only marry me. "

Cheng Ran scolds, "I rather die than marry a trash like you."

The man is going to hit him when someone throws an egg at him. Followed by flour. Totally prevented him from seeing things.

Ling Wen and his son leave the spot. They decide to go home. Not continuing shopping for fearing those men.

The ger yells, "I'm Cheng Ran from Cheng family! Find me if you need help!

Ling Wen only waves goodbye. Cheng is one of the richest families in this Empire.

The next day, Ling Wen goes to marketplace without Xiao Bao. The boy has been neglecting his study so he punished him to copy a children book.

In the marketplace, he meets Cheng Ran again.

This time Cheng Ran greets him first.

Shabby clothes with some patches. This guy looks he is short on money.

Cheng Ran grabs his hand and drags Wen to a nearby clothing store.

He says, "You saved me yesterday. Let me buy you some clothes."

Wen rolls his eyes.

Cheng Ran won't let go of his hand while choosing fabrics.
