"Sweet cheeks?!" Miles knocks on my doorway and walks through my open door. I sit on my floor, typing away on a essay for Sara's class.
"Hey sugar" I smile up at him. He holds his laptop in his hands as he sits next to me.
"How's the essay going?" He asks me, opening his computer. I hit my head on the side of my bed and groan. "That good huh?"
"Read it, all the words are in my brain but they won't come out." I huff, handing him my laptop. He spends a few minutes reading the whole thing before handing it back.
"It's great Mar!" He beams at me.
"Are you just saying that because you're my boyfriend?" I grin, extending my legs and setting my laptop in my lap.
"No, it's actually really good so far. I don't know what you're stressing about." He shrugs while grabbing his own computer.
"Thanks"
We continue working on our essays with some music playing in the background from my stereo. The house was unusually quiet which meant no one was home because it was never quiet.
After a few minutes I slam my laptop shut and set in on the floor.
"We've been working on this forever." I whine.
"It's been like 10 minutes." He says plainly, not tearing his eyes away from his essay.
"Well I need a break."
"The essays due tomorrow."
"Please" I make my eyes as big and innocent as I can while also poking my bottom lip out. He studies me for a minute, glancing at his computer anxiously before shutting it.
"A few minutes and then back to work." He demands, pointing a finger at me.
"Deal"

We end up on the couch, watching friends. My plan worked and I distracted him enough to forget about the essay.
