The sound of the monster behind them made Alex run faster than she's ever run before. She had no idea that something like that would be out here in the outside world. Of course, there were going to be dangers, but this? This was a whole new level of danger. The monster was able to keep up with them though it wasn't getting any closer. Despite this fact, Alex was not wanting to look at it. She was afraid that if she did, she would stop running because of how scared she might be just by the sight of it.

Not everyone had the same idea as her. Thoma had decided to look back at the monster after  Alex had thought about it in her head. He ended up regretting his decision and ran even faster. He let out a loud scream as he did. "Don't look, just run!" Alex told him.

"Ray," Gilda looked back at him. He was stuck in the main back with Alex and Emma. They stood behind everyone else. This was to make sure that they could put someone back up on their feet if they accidentally fell. "What's that thing? Is that in the book, too?"

Ray looked over at Alex for an answer. She shook her head wildly as she tried not to trip over anything. She would definitely know if that thing was in the book. The book had no mention of it whatsoever. "No way!" Alex replied.

"No, there's nothing!" Ray shouted to Gilda, "This must be... A demon!"

"A demon?" Some questioned. Alex didn't know who and she didn't want to take the time to figure out who said it. There were more important things... Like trying not to get eaten by the monster behind them.

"So that's a..." Don glanced back.

"Yes, I'm sure... But..," Emma trailed off, "The monsters that Alex, Norman, and I saw walked upright like humans! They even talked!"

She was right! They acted a lot like humans did, but this one did not. "They were nothing like that thing!" Alex yelled. How could this be a demon when it acted nothing like the ones that they have seen? Were there different species of demons? There were many questions that the girl didn't know the answers to.

"Yeah, the ones in my early memories were like that too... They didn't have tails... And always wore those hideous horned masks... And had clothes, too!" Ray added to which Emma agreed. The huge demon shot its tongue at Emma. The orange-haired girl tripped only to be picked back up by Ray. She let out a yelp and Ray called out to her, "Emma!" Emma thanked him.

"That was close!" Alex commented. If Ray hadn't caught the girl in time then she would've been eaten right then and there. Alex shivered at the thought.

"Uhm... So... The demon came from the farm to catch us?!" Mark inquired.

"No! It's not from the farm!" Nat responded, "It wants to eat us all right there!"
