*ALARM*

"Uggh" I woke up to the loud ringing that was my alarm to wake me up for my first day as a senior in HighSchool. Normally I get up for a run every morning but for the first day of school I let myself rest.

"Hey Shawn can you take Cora to school. I have to get to my school early for schedule pick up"

"Yeah yeah but you have to get her ready" he said rolling over

"Uggh Fine" I said Leaving his room

Shawn is my older brother he is 20. He was at college but mom died and dad became a drunk and stopped providing. So big bro had to step up to be the dad.

"Cora baby it's time to get up it's your first day of school"

"I- I don't want to"

"Why not?" I said picking her up and putting her in my lap

"I'm scared"

"It's okay sweet pea. You are going to make a lot of friends and have lots of fun okay. Kindergarten is easy. And you are a very smart girl"

"Promise" she held out her pinky to do our promise hand shake

"Promise" I locked our pinky's and kissed her nose and then she kissed mine.

She got up and got her self ready. She is very independent for a 5 year old. She can make her bed, Clean her room, get dressed, brush her teeth, hell even start her own bath. All with out us telling her to do so.

While she was getting ready. I went to my room and started getting ready. I decided on a red plaid skirt and a long sleeve shirt tucked in and a thick belt to keep it in.

My hair was in butterfly locks so I didn't have to do anything to my hair. And I did light makeup like I always do. Eyebrows,mascara and Aquaphor was my go to 'lip gloss'

After I got dressed I text me and my friends group chat knowing they haven't woken up yet.

South side gods (and the north side queen)

is 3 hours

Ik but you have to drive around the south
side to get me and Derek. Then drive up
to the north to get Sara then we
can go to school and we want to be
there early so the line isn't long.

Yes three south sliders going to a school in the north side. Shocking I know. Me, Derek and Lycus all took a test that our teachers forced us to take because we are 'too smart for the south side education'. So we all passed and got transferred.

"Keke? I'm ready for school. Can you make me breakfast" Cora nocked on my door looking adorable as always

"Of course sweet pea" I picked her up and ran to the kitchen flying her like she is an airplane causing her to laugh.
