3rd Person POV
Once more Alexander and Esdeath clashed with their blades. With each move Alexander became faster and more precise. But Esdeath was able to hold her own and dodge Alexander's most recent strike that cracked the ground. As Alexander charged forward at Esdeath, they clashed blades multiple times in a blur of movement.
Esdeath: "Oh! Wonderful Alexander! This is better than any date we've been on!" she shouted whilst blushing heavily
Alexander: Then you should enjoy this!
He then brought his hand down and released a psychic blast at Esdeath. But she managed to push herself away by raising an ice pillar below her. The pillar itself was utterly annihilated as she grinned at Alexander from above.
Esdeath (thoughts): This power.....!
Esdeath then landed away from Alexander as he looked towards her. Tatsumi and Mine had wiped out the soldiers they were fighting, and for just a moment it was only the four of them. Until they all looked to the sky to see a danger beast air manta with Najenda, Leone, Susanoo, and Akame.
Esdeath: So you finally came out to play
Najenda: Well you didn't leave me much of an option
Esdeath: (chuckles) Spoken like a true coward! It's been a long time, what do you say we do some catching up? In my torture chamber
Najenda: "Thanks but I'm not really into that stuff, I think I'll pass" she said before pulling out a detonator and triggering it
Much of the ground in the colosseum then began to blow up and fall. The explosives were placed there a long time ago by Lubbock with an intention to use them during the siege of the capital. As Esdeath fell with the crumbling ground, she smirked as she landed.
Esdeath: I'd never suspect you'd enter the fray without a strategy. It's so much fun!
Najenda: Go!
Akame/Leone/Susanoo: Roger that!
The four then jumped off the manta, with Najenda and Susanoo heading to where Esdeath fell. Leone landed with Mine and Tatsumi, while Akame was diving for Alexander with killing intent. She unsheathed Murasame and slashed down at Alexander, only for him to block her attack and push her away.
Alexander: Akame now isn't-
Not giving a moment to finish his sentence, she dashed at him. As their blades clashed once more, Black Legionnaires grew ever closer to arriving. Mine, Tatsumi, and Leone then jumped away from they were after a blast of lightning came their way. Looking to where it came from, they saw Budo coming from a hole in the wall.
Budo: Imbeciles, how dare you create such chaos?
Mine (thoughts): What?! How could he take that shot from Pumpkin and not even be fazed?!
Budo: Even if the palace has a defensive barrier teigu, that power is too dangerous. No matter what the cost may be, you will all be executed here and now
Dark clouds began to fill the sky, it seemed to be a thunderstorm. It was brought on by Budo's teigu, an ability he had hidden until now. As the sky darkened, Alexander and Akame stopped momentarily to look upon Budo. But Alexander noticed something else, it was Tatsumi looking at his own arm while trembling.
He had not gotten used to the evolved form of Incursio. So now it was beginning to take a toll on his body, making him feel like it would tear him to shreds. But he couldn't go down yet, not while his comrades were at threat. Budo then shot a ball of lightning at all of them once more, only for Tatsumi to run in front of the shot.
