Chapter 25- A Moment of Peace

Alexander's POV

I was now laying on a bed inside a guest room within the cathedral. Apparently I passed out after seeing Kurome, but I feel better now. Actually, I feel slightly stronger as well. My body must be getting used to some of my abilities now.

As I sat up from the bed, someone knocked on the door. I noticed my coat had been taken off me and was hanging on a nearby chair. Aside from that, it was time to see who was knocking on the door.

Alexander: Come in

After I said that, the door opened and in came Run. In all honesty, I was glad it was him out of all the Jaegers. Seryu had only just found out about my resurrection, and I don't know how Kurome is reacting.

Wave might be overly excited but also filled with numerous questions. As for Esdeath, it would most likely be a mixed reaction. So I was glad the most calm and content amongst them was here with me.

Alexander: Morning Run

Run: Alexander, you seem rather calm for a man who cheated death

Alexander: And you seem rather calm for a man talking to a man who cheated death

Run: Heh, fair enough I suppose. I came to check up on you, how are you feeling?

Alexander: Better, some bed rest actually helped me more than I expected

Run: Kurome said something similar a while back. So, you can guess what I'm about to ask

Alexander: How am I alive? How did I cheat death and survive the poison from Murasame?

Run nodded, and I couldn't help but sigh. How could I explain this to him? Just plain out telling him that I am a god incarnate wasn't the best plan. If anything I needed to simplify it down to a way he could understand.

Alexander: Well, technically I did die that day. When I did, I seemingly awoke in a different plain of existence

Run: What do you mean exactly? Are you saying you appeared in some type of afterlife?

Alexander: Yes actually, that is a pretty accurate description. Would you believe me if I said I came face to face with a god?

Run: Hmm, I can't prove that you didn't and you are the person who came back from the dead. Even so, forgive me if I'm skeptical

Alexander: You think I might have some type of trauma. Or that I might be slightly hysterical, that right?

Run: How-

Alexander: I can see in your mind Run, it's part of my new abilities. I can read everything that's gone through your mind. Though I had no intention of digging that deep

Run: What do you mean?

Alexander: I'm sorry Run, about your students.....

Run: I..... how are you able to see my mind? Is it some type of Imperial Arms?

Alexander: Yes and no, my true self has lied dormant for a long time. After I "died" I became one with a missing shard of myself

Run: Shard? Could you elaborate?

Alexander: Run, I am a god

Run: I'm sorry what?

Alexander: Listen, when I arrived in that afterlife it was a different plain of existence. But I came to a revelation of who I truly am

Run: As much as I wish to doubt you, it possibly explains you cheating death

Alexander: Would you like for me to prove it further?
