Chapter 12- Kill the Mad Scientist

3rd Person POV

Alexander watched from the cliffside as Wave confronted Tatsumi. He entered a battle stance and saw that taking out a member of Night Raid was vital.

Wave (thoughts): Time for a change of plans, killing a member of Night Raid is way more important than finding Alexander. Even though my model is newer and is supposed to have better stats I'll have to be careful anyway

Tatsumi (thoughts): Who the hell is that? Is it one of those Jaegers? Either way, I'm screwed if anyone else shows up

Tatsumi then jumped away from Wave but his path was blocked as Wave got in front of him.

Wave: You're not getting away, now man up and fight!

Alexander (thoughts): Should I try and help? But that would tell them I'm part of Night Raid and my plans would be delayed. Esdeath loves me and she could be my way into the Imperial Army

Wave then charged at Tatsumi and threw some punches at him. However, Tatsumi managed to dodge the incoming strikes.

Tatsumi: Stop it! I don't have a reason to fight you!

Wave: "Yeah maybe you don't" he said before punching Tatsumi in the gut "But I sure as hell have a reason to fight you, you're Night Raid trash!" he said backing away slightly

Tatsumi had made a small crater on the side of the cliff when Wave punched him. He fell onto his knees and brought a hand to his gut and started coughing.

Wave: I read the file on you guys, you assassinate people at random. You threaten the safety of the Imperial Capital, and worst of all you're working with the Revolutionary Army. Criminals like you shouldn't be allowed to live!

Tatsumi: Shut up, it may be true that we're assassins. But I am not, we are not, WE ARE NOT THE BAD GUYS HERE!

Alexander (thoughts): Ah, he's syncing with Incursio more. His passion is triggering something it looks like. Bulat wasn't wrong, perhaps he will surpass him.......

While Wave was distracted by a strange presence that came from his opponent, Tatsumi used the opportunity to jump away. But Wave caught up and kicked Tatsumi down into a nearby river. Tatsumi triggered his trump card and used the current to slip away while Wave began searching for him.

Alexander's POV

Well the fight between wasn't anything to take note on in all honesty. Tatsumi had been trying to escape and evade Wave the whole fight anyway.

Father: So what now? You have a chance to slip away

Alexander: If I do that I won't have another chance like this. This is my opportunity to make it into the army, and hell I could get Esdeath on my side

Father: She lives for war and the thrill of battle. But she also loves you deeply, you could actually pull that off. Just make sure you plan ahead

Alexander: Of course father, now I need to do one last thing before continuing the hunt

Father: And that is?

I took out my mother's Imperial Arms book and flipped to a blank page. I tore it out and took out my mother's pen that came with the book. I wrote down the names of the Jaegers and their Imperial Arms.

Then I summoned one of my eagles and tied the note to its leg. I sent it off towards the base of Night Raid before putting the book and pen away.

Father: Giving them a heads up?
