When the elevator opened, Nurse Missy approached me immediately.

"Doc! The operating room is already ready."

"Where's the team?"

"They all here, Doc.

"How's the patient? Did you already check her? The blood pressure? Heart rate? Temperature? Pulse and blood count?" Sunod-sunod kong tanong.

"The patient is ready, Doc. We already did the basic check ups before we proceed to our surgical operation."

"Okay, good. Please, just wait for me inside the operating room. I'll be there in sec," She immediately nodded and left.

I tied my hair and changed the clothes on what I supposed to wear inside the operating room.

Before surgerys, surgeons have to stand at the scrub sink for five full minutes and use an under-the-nail brush and a very strong soap with a scrub brush on each finger, both sides of their hands and scrub all the way up to their elbows.

After I washed my hands I was immediately assisted by Nurse Missy.

I inhaled and exhaled. "Okay... Before we proceed, let's pray first." We also spent a few minutes praying fervently. "Amen." We said in unison.

"Let's help each other and do this as a team. We will save her life and we will do our work perfectly. Let's go!"

"I'll begin the anesthesia. Five point eight millimeters of General anesthesia will be injected," Dr. Montenegro said and began injecting the anesthesia to our patient.

We all waited for the signal from Dr. Montenegro.

In a surgical operation the anesthesiologist is the most important, because Anesthesiologists are the doctors trained to administer and manage anesthesia given during a surgical procedure. They are also responsible for managing and treating changes in critical life functions such as breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure as they are affected by the surgery being performed. Anesthesiologist ang pinaka may hawak sa buhay ng patient kaya hindi pwedeng mag-under go sa isang surgery-operation kung wala sila.
