Seungmin knelt quietly on the bed,
a sad pout on his face as he hugged his puppy plushie close to his chest.

His gaze was resting on the tall boy in front of him who whimpered softly,
droplets of sweat glistening on his forehead and neck.

The blonde was restlessly turning his head thanks to the fever dream that clouded his head and the little couldn't help but frown even more,
he didn't want to see his daddy like this, he hated it.

Reaching his hand out,
he wiped the sweat away with his sweater paw and leaned down to press a sloppy kiss on Hyunjin's forehead.

"Daddy~"

he whispered softly,
tears gathering in his eyes as the
older didn't react.

"Daddy pwease~"

Hyunjin groaned and blinked
his eyes open, his hand going up to touch the blurry face of his baby above him.

"H-hey puppy"

"Daddy~"

the younger sobbed softly and leaned into the warm touch of his caregiver's hand.

"It's okay baby, I'm here.
Daddy's just feeling a bit sickie, hm?"

"B-but-"

"Daddy will just take a small nap and then I'll immediately feel better."

Hyunjin tried his best to give his baby a reassuring smile before his eyes fell shut again making Seungmin frown.

As he watched his daddy falling asleep again, he suddenly remembered something.

To help Hyunjin feel better he'll just do what his daddy does whenever he felt sickie.

First step, get a cool towel.

Seungmin waddled towards their bathroom and took out his pink
towel littered with puppies,
of course because that one had special healing effects, and soaked it with cold water.

With the towel in his hand he went back to place it carefully on Hyunjin's forehead.

Next step,
refill the older's cup with tea.

Little Seungmin tried his best not to spill the warm herbal tea as he waddled back with the now full cup,
his tongue sticking out in pure concentration.

A big sigh escaped him once he put the tea down on the older's bedside table, he felt very proud that he did it all by himself.

Hyunjin was still sleeping but
if you would have asked Seungmin,
the little one was convinced that his daddy was already feeling much better thanks to his big efforts.

Last step to get healthy again as fast as possible were cuddles.

Whenever Seungmin was sick, Hyunjin would always say to him
'Cuddles are the best medicine.'

And it was true,
at least in the Seungjin household.

The little grabbed his puppy plushie and placed it carefully on his daddy's chest, covering it with the duvet as if he was tucking his baby in
(which in fact he did after his opinion).

He then happily snuggled close,
his head resting on Hyunjin's chest while he rubbed his cheek on the shirt in content.

The older unconsciously moved
his arm to pull his baby closer,
the frown on his face disappearing once he had his little close to him.

At the soothing warmth radiating from his daddy, Seungmin slowly but surely dozed off as well, his heart light knowing that he helped the blonde feeling better.

Hyunjin was also sleeping
more peacefully now,
cuddles were the best medicine
after all.
