Another drop.
And another.

Everyone else would have chosen another place to lay by now
but the big hybrid just twitched his ear with every falling water drop that tickled his furry ear.

The ceiling had cracks making water from the floor above flow through them and leaving small puddles in Minho's cage.
But that was nothing new,
over the last four years not a single person came to repair the issue.

There was a simple reason for that.
Nobody dared to enter.

Minho was a jaguar hybrid,
a quite big and strong one.

But he wasn't always like that of course.

It's been twelve years since that day when they captured him,
when they killed his whole family right in front of his innocent eyes.

You might wonder who 'they' are and why they did that to him.
They are a group of scientists who experiment with hybrids,
preferably rare ones with the ability to shift into their animal form.

They found interest in hurting and torturing the poor hybrids,
Minho once heard that they even cut off a dog hybrid's paw just to see if when the hybrid shifted again,
the human form has no hand too.

And to Minho's luck,
he was one of the last jaguar hybrids.
He was actually sure that after his whole family got killed,
he was the last one.

During all the twelve years in this hell he saw so many kinds of hybrids, bunnies, kangaroos, even a fennec
but never a jaguar.

When Minho was brought to this place he was thirteen,
just a young innocent boy who once believed that humans are friendly and wouldn't hurt him.

But his opinion changed soon with the death of his family members.
The first years in the laboratory the scientists tried many different substances on him,
he'll never forget how much it hurt when they roughly gave him the syringe shot.

They shaved his fur, they fed him disgusting things to see how long he'll survive.
And the young boy,
not strong enough to defend himself, cried himself to sleep every night and prayed for this nightmare to be over.

Minho was 16 when he decided to make a move.
Because of a special occasion.

One night when the jaguar boy was deeply asleep,
the scientists crept into his cage to cut off half of his tail.
While he was actually conscious.

The loud cry that ripped the silence of the peaceful night must have been able to be heard even miles away.

He remembers how he trashed and screamed but he was powerless against the five scientists who held him.
The pain was unbearable,
the wound bled without an ending and nobody cared to treat it.
