'Thank you, Mr.Minerva.' Emma thought as she looked at the book in her hands.
-----
Emma continued to stare at the book in her hands, completely calm. However, her eyes snapped wide open as chills ran down her spine, causing her to run over to some trees. She couldn't explain why nor could she understand why, but she felt her body move on its own.
"Emma?!" One of the kids worriedly called, having noticed her weird attitude.
Emma didn't respond as she stood, examining her surroundings. But, there was nothing.
'Nothing...Was it just my imagination?' Emma thought, pursing her lips.
-----
"I see...these roots don't do too well with the cold!" Alicia placed her fist on her palm.
"So that's why they stopped moving." Yvette rubbed her chin.
"It's pretty cold up here!" Mark piped in, burying his face in his scarf.
"Yeah...It's even colder than the area we were in when we first fell in..."
"Why is the temperature so different even though we're in the same forest?"
"Who knows..." Anna fiddled with her hands. "Maybe it's because the sunlight gets blocked by the trees here." She guessed.
"Still, it's really friggin' cold!" Dominic complained.
"So...as long as it stays this cold, does it mean that we won't have to be afraid of being attacked by those roots again?" Gilda asked.
"Probably." Emma answered.
"Damn! Thank goodness it's winter right now! Or else we would've been in big trouble!" Don cheered.
"Well...according to this, it seems like the ground doesn't cave in, in the first place unless it's winter." Nat grinned as he held up a book. "It says that the 'Alvar Pinera is a legendary cave one can only enter during the winter season' in this book."
Don now wore a nervous smile as he scanned through the book.
"If only it weren't winter, huh?" Gilda said, her glasses tinted.
"But thanks to what just happened, now I know!" Emma smiled. "The 'outside world' is full of unknowns! And the words of this book have meaning!"
"So it's our guidebook, huh..." Don said.
"That's right. This book contains all of the important pieces of information we need." Emma confirmed. "How to deal with the unknown danger, the weakness of our enemies, also..."
"Emma!" Ray called, causing everyone to shift their attention to him.
Ray stood beside Y/n, pointing at something on the ground as Y/n was crouching.
"Here it is! This is what we've been looking for!"
Quickly gathering around the boys, the children and Ustinez stared down at what had caught the pair's attention.
"Um...What is this?" Nat asked, blinking confusedly.
"Water!" Y/n grinned as he lifted his pointer fingers.
"Huh?!" The others gaped.
They looked once more at the boys' discovery and couldn't help but stay confused, not comprehending how the plant was water.
Seeing their expressions, Y/n spoke, "They're mentioned in the book. Anemones that store pure water."
"Anemones?!" Don gaped.
