Chapter 34

Napalingon si Miracle sa asawa nang maramdaman ang paghigpit ng kapit nito sa kamay niya. She quickly looks at her cellphone's screen. She bit her lower lip when she saw their location. Marcelo Fernan Bridge.

Inangat niya ang tingin at nakitang nakapaskil nga sa taas ng tulay ang pangalan ng lugar.

They're already here.

"Trigger?"

Mabilis na nahigit ni Trigger ang hininga nang marinig ang boses ng asawa niya sa tabi. He bit his lower lip as he faked a smile. "I'm fine, baby. You don't have to worry about me."

Natawa ang babae sa sinabi niya bago nito higpitan ang pagkakahawak sa nanlalamig niyang kamay. "I'm here, don't be scared. Hindi naman mangyayari ulit sa 'yo ang nangyari noon."

He flashed a sweet smile with what he heard. "Your words astound me. You have a way of making my heart skip a beat, my wife," nakangiti niyang saad bago halikan ang palad nito.

Nagpakawala ng mahinang tawa ang asawa niya.

"Expert siguro ako rito noong nakakaalala pa ako. Atsaka kailangan kitang libangin para hindi matuon ang atensyon mo sa takot mo. I want you to overcome your fear that's why we're here, right?" she sweetly asked.

Trigger nodded his head repeatedly. "Ang tagal kong tiniis ang takot ko sa putanginang lugar na 'to. Tapos sa 'yo lang naman pala manlalambot. Ang tagal mo kasing gumising, e," he teased her.

Miracle quickly pouted her lips before crossing her arms. "Na-over fatigue siguro ako bago tayo maaksidente kaya five years akong pinatulog."

He let out a loud laugh with what she said.

"I'm glad you're laughing and making jokes about your amnesia now," sabi niya habang nakatuon pa rin ang mga mata sa daan.

He's taken aback by the fact that his heart isn't going wild right now. Inatake na siya sigurado kung sa normal na sitwasyon. He's driving over Cebu's bridge, but he's all fine. Miracle seems to have the ability to cure him fully.

"Being asleep for five years seems to be very boring and traumatizing, that's why I don't want to take it seriously. You should ignore the fact that you're afraid in this place, just enjoy and forget about the thing that happened to you in the past, Trigger. Hindi ako sigurado na magiging ayos ka sa buong oras na nandito tayo, kaya hindi ako aalis sa tabi mo hanggang hindi mo nakakalimutan 'yang takot sa puso mo."

With what she said, he was speechless. Those words had a huge impact on him. His life will never be at peace if he chooses to live like this, terrified of a fucking place. Takot siya sa iisang lugar, pero hindi siya takot sa bala at pakikipagpatayan.

He isn't afraid for himself that time; but, he is afraid that he will never see Miracle again.

Pero ngayon na nasa tabi na niya ang asawa, kailangan na niyang kalimutan lahat ng nangyari sa nakaraan. Hindi 'yon makakatulong sa kaniya. He'll just put another worry to Miracle who always want the best for him.

Hindi na niya puwedeng dagdagan ang mga isipin ng asawa niya. She needs to have fun and enjoy her new life. His problems are different matter.

"When we get to the resort, what do you want to do?" he asked softly.

Nagliwanag ang mukha ng asawa niya sa tanong na 'yon. Her eyes glowed with surprise and delight."Really? Hindi na muna tayo aalis dito?" paninigurado nito.

He nodded his head while smiling. "I'm all good, as long as you're here by my side. I want you to be happy so I'll spoil you with anything you want."

Napapalakpak si Miracle nang wala sa oras. Her face says it all, she's excited to have fun.

"I want to eat a lot of food, gusto ko rin mag-swimming doon."

"There are lots of beaches here in Cebu. I'll take you where ever you want. Do you have any suggestions?" tanong niya.

Umiling ang babae. "Okay na ako sa first choice natin. Private resort at walang masyadong tao. Mas ayos na ako roon. Atsaka lahat naman ng lugar ayos sa akin basta kasama kita."

He bit his lower lip when he felt his cheeks heat up with her response. Few words from Miracle and it can fucking kill him. Parang may nagkakarerahan na mga kabayo sa puso niya.

"Choose you words carefully, next time, my wife." He faked a cough after saying that.

Mabilis namang napalingon sa kaniya ang babae. "Why? Did I say something wrong?"

He nodded his head. "I'm afraid that I'll encounter another accident again if you won't stop saying things that can make me faint here on my seat."

He chuckled when he took a glimpse of her face. She's blushing. Natatawang pinalo pa nito ang braso niya.

"Kinabahan ako, akala ko naman kung ano na ang nasabi ko. Huwag ka ngang magbiro ng gano'n!" Miracle said while pouting her lips.

He leaned quickly to kiss her lips before focusing on the road. Narinig niya pa ang pagsinghap ng asawa niya.

"You're so naughty, Trigger! Buti na lang malawak 'yung daan, paano kung naaksidente tayo?" reklamo nito habang kinukurot ang braso niya.

He just shrugged his shoulders while smirking mischievously. "It took me just two seconds to steal a kiss from you, baby. It won't do any harm to the both of us," he joked around.

Naiiling na yumakap ang asawa sa braso niya. "Mamaya ka na maging malandi. Magseryoso ka na lang sa pag-da-drive."

He nodded his head politely. "You know why I decided to take you in that place?"

Tiningala siya ni Miracle. "Sa pupuntahan natin?" He nodded his head in response.

"Bakit?"

"My brother is there, together with her wife. I just thought that maybe you'll love to be friends with Saellyn," he said.

Nagliwanag muli ang mukha nito. "Oo naman! Gustong gusto ko."

Trigger chuckled with her reaction, hinalikan niya pa nang bahagya ang buhok ng asawa. "Those two used to be the most famous actress and actor in the Philippines. But they quit showbiz when they got married."

Miracle nodded her head. "Wow, I'm more excited to meet them with what you said."

Marahan niyang inangat ang kamay ng asawa at hinalikan ito nang marahan. "We're almost near, baby. I'm sure you'll love that place."
