Marissa's POV
I sat in my 1st period and wondered where Olivia was, even though I knew she wouldn't speak to me after Friday nights events. I heard some kids whispering and just decided to listen in.
" Did you hear about Riley?" One of them whispered. That's when I really started to listen.
" No? What happened?"
" Some boys beat his ass because Mallory Skies told everyone he was gay."
" He always looked like a fa-" I stood up and cut him off.
" He always looked like a what? Finish it." I said getting closer to the boys.
" I-uh- nothing." He stumbled over his words.
I grabbed my bag and left the room to go find Riley, and I assumed I would find Olivia with him. I was walking the halls whenever I saw Corey and Mallory standing together talking. I thought he was about to dig into her so I decided to keep my distance and listen.
" I didn't expect her to break up with me!" Mallory cried.
" Oh well! This makes the plan so much easier." I heard Corey whisper to her.
I knew I had to do something.
