Chapter 52 My Brother

After what Camila told me I went back into the big house.I spoke with people alongside my brother,even the ones that were shocked that I was there.I really couldn't wrap my head around all of this.It all felt like a daze.My body was physically there but my mind was somewhere else so much so that I didn't notice a familiar face until I saw the tall blonde right in front of me.

"Well oh well Miss Lauren Jáuregui back from the east to save us all."she said laughing

"Andrea?!"i was so happy to see her that I hung onto her for longer than I should have yet she did the same.

"It's so nice to see a friendly face here."she said staring into my eyes.

"It really is,what are you doing here?"

"WHat a model can't be into business?"she said smirking

"Only if its any of my business I honestly have so much to catch you up on."

"I know I do,but the only thing I'm interested in is that there's no ring on that finger."she said smirking.Andrea was always this way with me.Always knew how to make your days a bit lighter.Thankfully It's all that I needed at the moment.As I was in between laughs I felt a hand placed on my lower back.I turned surprised and almost dropped my glass to see the dark haired woman being the one behind me ,placing her hand on my body again.Her slim hand fell off after I gave her my attention.

"Sorry to interrupt but I need to talk to you Lauren,it's important."

"Okay."I said looking at Camila before turning back to Andrea."I'll see you around?."

"Ofcourse"she replied shortly after kissing my cheek before she left.Camil was already walking towards her dads office.A place I knew all too well.When we were younger we would sneak in there to get a kiss in or two,I knew times were different now.

"Take a seat"she said before closing the door behind us.I sat on the big red chair in front of where she would take a seat.

"I know a lot is going on right now but we need to talk specially before you leave it's important."

"I can see that,you dragged me into the office in the middle of a party."

"These parties are always business and you know that."she replied dryly

"I do.So what business do you and I have that it's so important."

"It's not just about you,it's the whole Jáuregui/Cabello collaboration.We were already tense with the investors as it was with Chris coming in and he hasn't necessarily lived up to your name."

"What do you mean?"

"Well some of the investors aren't happy with his work.It's not that he is doing bad but he isn't doing well.And Well a lot of the investors preferred you."

"If he is doing what is needed what is the trouble ?"

"The trouble is that what he was doing was okay since the competition was not up to par with us,but now well you've become competition and a lot of the investors see it as a threat.I really can't go too in depth about everything but we really do need to talk."She said staring at me directly.Even though I knew this was serious I couldn't help but smile as I couldn't believe I really was in front of Camila like this again.I began to zone out on the features of her face.She was older now but it seemed that she had become even more beautiful something I didn't think was possible.

"This is serious Jáuregui"she said a bit irritated,I could tell the problem was bigger than she wanted to make it seem.No wonder Chris was in such a rush that I speak to Camila.It all made so much sense now.
