Why is it that every single time something good happened between us somebody else had to ruin it,
I did what I hadn't done in a long time but that I always did when I had a problem,it was a bad habit but I had to do it

"Hey Lauren I haven't really heard from you since the airport"the woman's face seemed shocked by my call

"Hi sorry I've just been busy,how have you been?"I said trying not to show that I had been tearing up

"I've been fine thank you I hope you're doing good"she said biting her lip she was nervous

"Kind of ,I just wanted to apologize first of all,specially for the Edward thing turns out he really was into me"

"It was obvious"she said laughing "But I understand why you did it,I'm in a better place now,I hope you understand why I felt the way I did,I just wish that you are happy,even if it is with Edward"

"It isn't,but I do need your advice if it's not too much to ask"

"It's fine really whats up"she seemed genuine and concentrated on me,that's one thing I took for granted when she looked at me or I wanted to talk to her she acted like I was the only person in the world

"Well I have been seeing someone for like a few weeks and well,I went on her phone,well not really I just saw a message that popped up and it was another girl waiting for her to call,she mentioned how she meant everything she said and that she missed her or whatever "

"Lauren relax,you can't have trust issues so early on or things will be bad,you tend to do this, take a deep breath and really think things through,maybe it's one of her friends or that person may have feelings for her but this other person,your person,might not like them back"I was caught back by how mature and honest and nice Victoria was being,

"Wow thank you that actually makes sense you might be right"

"I know so,if I may ask are you official with this person?,not because I'm noisy or whatever"she said smiling

"Mhm you're a bit jealous Vic"I said laughing

"I am totally not"she said turning a little red flaring her nostrils

"You are,you're flaring your nostrils"

"Well I tried I guess I am a bit jealous,but I just want you to be happy,to not get hurt,I did that enough to you"she said looking down

"I have forgiven you for that Vic,I honestly have,you made me happy so many more times than you hurt me"

"I know but the hurt was bad,I just want you to smile as much as you can,and I'm not saying this to try and get you back,I love you and I honestly want you to be happy "

"Thank you Vic a part of me will always love you too"

Lauren left the office as soon as I got back from the restroom,I tried calling her but it went straight to voicemail.
I checked my messages and saw Arianas text,but didn't think much of it,it was in my bag anyway,I doubt she would've seen it.
I drove home and knocked on her door but she didn't answer and her car wasn't parked upfront.Maybe she had an emergency,I tried to relax and wait to hear somebody come near her door or mine.Hours passed and I finally heard heels walking up by my door.I got even happier as she knocked on my door.I ran to open but I didn't want this.

"I was waiting for your call"

"I'm sorry I got caught up with something else"

"Can I come in finally?"
