Chapter 16 The heart is complicated

I woke up with Lauren next to me,I loved waking up to her body heat,she had her back turned to me this time,I guess the whole Ariana thing really had messed with her,and if I was being honest it was messing with me too,I feel like I just jumped from one relationship to the other not being able to get closure.I had went to Aris apartment to tell her to stop doing all of this,she was the one that never wanted this,but now that She saw I was really close to Lauren she was going out of her way to get me back

I kissed the woman beside me but she still didn't wake.I decided to go into the kitchen and make her breakfast,my phone began to ring,ofcourse I had left it in Lauren's room hoping that it wasn't who I thought it was.I rushed over to her room but it was too late Lauren was awake.

"Here,it's your girlfriend"she said going back to bed.I looked at the caller ID and it was Ariana indeed,I rejected the call.

"She's not my girlfriend"

"And neither am I"she replied still giving me her back.

"Can you please look at me"i said pleading I really didn't want to lose Lauren,and it was feeling like this is how it was going to be

"For what Camila?so that you can lie to my face again"

"I'm not lying,she doesn't mean anything to me you're the one I want, I need you Lauren,I love you"I caught myself back after that,I had never told any other person I loved them not even Ariana but I wasn't lying I did love Lauren,and I was going to do whatever it took to get her back.

"You what?"She turned almost as shocked as me

"You heard me didn't you,I....I mean it"I said getting closer to her as she was now sitting up

"When you love someone you don't hurt them like this Camila...."

"How am I hurting you?"I still couldn't understand why she was feeling this way

"You keep lying to me Camz"she said as a tear rolled down her cheek,almost desperate for me to understand as if she knew something I didn't

"Don't cry"I said wiping her cheeks

"You're right I shouldn't be,but the fact that I truly love you and this feels like it's just a game for you is breaking me"those words hurt me because I truly didn't take her as a game,

"If I love you and you love me how am I hurting you?"I said not really understanding why all of these emotions were overcoming her

"Because I don't want to be right"she says again

"About what?"Im beyond confused at this point

"That all you're going to do is hurt me"

"How can i hurt you if you don't even let me love you Lauren"I said hugging her she fell into my chest and laid beside my body on her bed,

"I promise you she's just a friend Lauren"Ariana really was just that now when I went to her apartment I made it clear but I guess maybe she hadn't got the message,and maybe she wasn't the only one that thought that

"Then leave her"

"How am I suppose to leave her if I'm not even with her, I'm with you Lauren,right now in this moment I have you in my arms and you're the one I want,"I couldn't tell her enough how many times I'd choose her over anybody
