Chapter 38 Real Pain

"I just need to get a couple things from my condo,I'm going to get some stuff now while Camilas at work,and then in the afternoon."it was already 9AM so I knew Camila was more than a couple hours into work.

"Okay Laur, I'll be back by lunch, I'll meet you back here."

"You're cooking?"

"It's a surprise"she said kissing my forehead

"Okay I'll see you in a bit then."I replied pecking her lips.

Driving back to the condo didn't make me feel any better.If anything it made my stomach feel worse.I literally wanted to throw up.I got to the parking lot and Camilas car wasn't there,yet I still felt my heart race.Just passing by her condo brought so many memories.I walked into my condo and opened the big box I had bought to take some things to Lucy's condo and others to a storage.

As I walked out with the box covering my face I was Interrupted by a voice.

"Need a little help there?"I almost dropped the box,I put it completely down as I was met with the brown eyes I didn't want to see.

"What are you doing here?"I said feeling my heart almost falling out of my chest

"I live here."she said laughing

"I thought you'd be at work."

"I took your advice.I took a day off.Here I'll help."

"No I'm okay I got it."I said gripping the box again

"Come on Lauren, this box is bigger than both of us."

"I'm fine Camila,really."

"Okay"she said stepping aside, and as I tried to pick up the box all my body decided to fail me and I couldn't even move it.

"Fine, I guess I'll use your help."I said giving in

"Alright."she said chuckling as she helped me pick up the big box.

"Mhm did you buy a new car?"Camila asked as we got the box into the SUV

"No my parents let me borrow it."

"Mhm so they know youre leaving?"

"Yeah I had told them since I came out,I wanted to leave then."I said closing the trunk door

"Oh okay,thank you for staying the extra  time that you did."she said looking at me sincerely.I was more than confused as she had been a dick to me at the office yesterday.

"Are you okay?"I said confused

"I'm fine,I just wanted to thank you for staying the extra time that you did,you didn't have to."

"Well you're welcome."I said a bit annoyed with the constant attitude swings Camila had

"Do you have another box?"she said ignoring my attitude

"Yeah but it's small,I got that one."

"Well any extra stuff I can help with?"she said as I began to walk toward the condo

"No it's fine,don't worry."

"I'll always worry Lauren."

"Well don't I already have a partner for that."I said turning around to look at her

"I don't care if you have a million other people that care or just me,I'll always care no matter what we are."she said standing her ground

I stopped what I was doing to really take a look at her.I felt like a deer in front of headlights.
