Chapter 20 Just hold me

CPoV

I knew Lauren had gone to the Crawford meeting so I was waiting for her to get out, Ela had confirmed with me
I waited by her car as i knew if I tried to approach her from a far she wouldn't speak to me,she was rapidly walking towards me while on her phone she didn't notice me until she got to the car door

"Oh shit you scared me"she said finally looking up

"Mhm not a good surprise then?"

"No"she replied angrily

"Can we talk?"

"Yeah we need to talk,I will see you at the office"she replied trying to get in the car

"No we need more privacy."she looked up at me confused,I couldn't even look at her eyes as she kept her shades on,was she really that angry

"Fine at my place if it isn't too much to ask"

"That's perfect thanks"I said trying to grace her hand but she didn't even look up at me she got into her car and left

That interaction with her made me anxious,even though I had been wrong to keep Ari a secret I couldn't stay mad at her I really did love her and was missing her more than ever at the moment,but she was mad I mean she left Victoria for almost the same reason but she doesn't even know that I kissed Ariana before we were official,things could get worse

My heart felt like it was going to leave my body as I got closer to our condos,I had to take a couple extra deep breaths before even knocking on her door

She opened her door and the white blouse with a tied bow she had on earlier was now loose,she already had opened a bottle of wine for herself ofcourse,she was hurting as much as I was maybe even more

She sat on her small table and I sat across from her

"Do you want some?"

"Water is fine"she got up and got me a cup,I loved to just admire her curbs even now,I just wanted to at least hug on to her,I just felt like hugging her from behind,my heart was aching,I needed her

she sat back down before I could do anything,I looked into her green eyes with specks Of red she had been crying and that made my heart hurt more

"I just Uhm,"

"Why isn't Edward at my company anymore"she said her tone was harsh

"What?"I was blindsided

"Victoria called me,she spoke to Edward you had something to do with him leaving so spill"

"Woah I had nothing to do with this relax"I said trying to calm her down

"No I won't relax you need to stop trying to control every aspect of my life"she said even angrier

"Lauren,"

"Don't Lauren me!And apart from that you went to see Ariana again, did you think I wasn't going to find out Camila,"tears began to roll down her cheeks now and she was sat up looking like she was ready to leave all of this behind her

"It's not what you think Laur"I tried to reassure her

"Why Camila,I thought you loved me"she continued not hearing what I was trying to tell her

"I do love you but let me explain things"

"Well fucking explain then because you don't make any sense right now,this doesn't feel right"she said crying still

"I can't if we can't talk calmly"I replied now serious,I loved this woman but I wasn't going to be able to continue this,I knew if I got angry this would all go to shit like yesterday
