the day teams and everything got decided; mina turns to you, "i just hope i get paired up with you" she whines, to which you reassure.
"my mom's cool, she wouldn't pair you up with someone you're not compatible with"
your mother enters the classroom, and everyone races to their seats.
"good morning, class"
"good morning ms. (l/n)"
"as you know, today is the day you start preparing for your first missions"
"i've considered a lot, but i think i've paired you up with the right people"
you tuned out most of it—but your mom paired up momo and jiro, as she should.
"finally. . .todoroki and (l/n)"
you perk up, and your friends start squealing; amidst all the chaos your mother is there, staring at you. . .knowingly.
shoto acts indifferent but you can see the joy behind his eyes.
"please come up to the front of the class, where you will receive your new 'identities'."
shoto goes up for the both of you, coming back with the index card.
