" Liam honey where are you?" I said reaching my hands out.

I finally got the surgery and I was so in pain that my head was throbbing.

" I'm right here mom come on where would you like to go?"

" my bedroom for now I need to rest"

This was my first  treatment in ten years  and I was so anxious.

Wearing these patches over my eyes was not what I was hoping for as it darken my sight.

" leave me please I could use a quick hour nap. If your father show up tell him I'll be ready to go.

" may I ask where y'all headed?"

I grin as I laid back on my pillow.

" he's taking me somewhere special maybe it was to celebrate my surgery and the possibility of me being able to see again"

Liam then took my heels off and gave my feet a massage.

That's one thing about my son he will always make sure that I'm taking care of.

" you don't even know if it would work" he said with sadness.

I reach my hands out as my fingers trace my sons face.

" I know you turn into a handsome young men" I sniff  " I could see it"

" mom"

"No. I always imagine what you could look like. Oh and your hair it's very soft . What color"

" I dyed it blonde a few months back"

A tear fell down my cheek as I quickly wipe it away.

" you don't know how long I've been wanting to see you. When you was born all I could do was trace my fingers across your face and assume what I thought you looked like"

" I..I should let you rest mom"

" how tall have you gotten?" I ask

" I'm six foot"

" gosh your tall" I giggle.

" You can say I got that from dad" he told me.

" Liam"

He waited but he eventually spoke.

" yes"

" Okay. I'm ready to tell you"

Sitting up in my bed I told myself that I would never speak about this to anyone but I was ready to let him
Know.

" tell me what mom?"

" about how I lost my sight. I wasn't born this way it was taken from me"

" what" he said confuse.
