"¿Estás bien, cariño?" Papá asked as I held on to Lucio's arm, ignoring him.

Papá laughed as I scowled, "¡No me gusta esa chica!" I growled, yanking Lucio closer to me before sending a glare his way, "You can't be her friend, only mine." I tell him, watching as he tries to hide his smile.

"What girl?" Papá questions, yanking me up into his arms, away from Lucio.

"The girl that came to the store today while we were helping Maria. Lucio was talking to her so I put my gum in her hair." I admit, not realizing my mistake.

"Azrael!" Papá laughs in disbelief as Lucio sighs.

"Qué?" I blink at him, "It's his fault, he wasn't paying attention to me." I cross my arms, "You pay attention to me Papá so I won't do it to Mamá if that's what you're worried about." I assure him, squishing his cheeks to kiss his nose.

A wide smile breaks out on his face, "Poor Lucio, I feel for every girl who comes waltzing into his life." He laughs, ruffling Lucio's hair.

"There isn't going to be another girl!" I screech, "Right Lucio?" I demand, glaring down it him.

He nods obediently, "Right."

I beam down at him before looking up at my dad once more, "Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask, smoothing out his furrowed eyebrows.

He sets me down right next to Lucio before crouching down in front of us, "Don't be like that, baby." He tells me gently, sweeping a curl out of my face, "I want you to be kind and accepting. I want you to know that not every girl is trying to take Lucio away from you. I want you to know that Lucio is allowed to be friends with whoever he wants and you can't tell him other wise. I don't want you to be jealous of anyone, you understand?"

I frown, "Then why did you get mad when Mamá was talking to my guy teacher?"

He glares at me, "That's different."

"Sure." I quip, smirking at Lucio who tries to hold in his laugh.

Lucio smirks up at my father with mischief swirling through his dark eyes, "I like when she's jealous." He admits, breaking into a fit of laughter when my father smacks the back of his head.

I ignore him, grabbing onto papá's hand, "Tio told me that it's my job to scare all the girls away." I explain, "He said I got to let them know whose boss." I tell him, beaming up at him with a bright smile.

He chuckles, "That's why Tio doesn't have a girlfriend." He tells, picking me up into his arms again, "It's not your job to scare off all the girls, it's Lucio's." He states, ignoring the way Lucio rolls his eyes, "It's not your job to keep him loyal to you, it's his." He explains.
