You were sitting on the sofa in the living room (??) on your own, feeling kind of sorry for yourself

Why? Well it started when fanny started making comments about transgender people

You see on the ' loose women' they were talking about trans rights ( * human rights * )

And Fanny asked what transgender meant

Alison had explained to her and she had made a scene

' PREPOSTEROUS! A LADY SHOULD ACCEPT HER GENDER AND THATS THAT! God gave her that gender! IN MY DAY, IF A PERSON WISHED TO ' CHANGE THEIR GENDER' THEN THEY WOULD BE TOLD TO BLOODY WELL GET LOST! FIRST THE F****TS AND NOW- ' that's when you left the room

Those where the words your family had told you when you came out To them

So now you where sitting, not sure what to do

' y/n? Are you alright man? ' captain asked coming into the room

You jumped and nodded ' y-yes thank you '

Captain hummed and seemed to accept your answer, what you didn't know was, when fanny had said the F slur, captain had left the room too, he had been called that name in his younger days

Fanny had only learned it from one of the builders and asked Alison what it meant ( of course Alison had to tell her but insisted she never used the word )

' are you alright? ' you asked the captain who looked deep in thought

' hmm? Oh yes I'm fine thank you ' captain said

The two of you sat in silence for a bit until captain turned to you

' I say, y/n, why did you leave so quickly when Fanny was saying those horrible things? ' captain asked

You sat silent for a minute, staring at your knees before saying ' ... the reason... uhm... I guess...' you took a deep breath before saying

' maybe we should talk about this in a more private place ' you said noticing Mike coming into the room, not that he realised he had come into a conversation of course

' oh! Of course ' captain said

The two of you eventually ended up in a spare room that nobody ever goes In

' ... the reason I left so quickly is because... ... ok it's because I used to be a woman...' you said looking at your shoes

Captains eyes widened, he hadn't known that, he had known you for about fifteen years

You had died in 2006 in a car crash, just on button house land you were only about fourty, you didn't look it of course simply because I'd say captain is fifty one ish ( dw too much about the age gap, my parents are sixteen years apart )

Anyway

Captain took a minute to take in what you had said

' let me guess, you hate me now? ' you asked still looking at your shoes

Captain frowned and walked closer to you, he carefully hooked his finger under your chin and gently made you look at him

' I don't hate you, trust me, one of my soldiers was transgender too' captain said, leaving out the part where the soldier had been taken from the house when everyone found out

' really? ' you asked, almost leaning into the captains touch

He nodded and took a few minutes before saying ' I... uhm I suppose since I know that about you... you should know.... * inhales * I'm homosexual' he said

Your eyes widened, you had kinda guessed it tbh because he wasn't that great at keeping it a secret but you didn't want to scare him

' oh... thank you for telling me ' you smiled

Captain smiled back at you before gently putting his hand on your cheek

Your eyes widened again, you had,had a crush on this man since about 2014

I'm gonna guess it's about 2019 in ghosts since they don't mention covid

He looked at you to make sure you where ok with this, you nodded before leaning in and kissing him

I hope this is ok, I've been doing this over the last few nights

I got my covid jab today so my arm is a bit achy and I had my flu jab yesterday too ( 🥲🥲🥲I had a Bally migraine after that, it was awful )

Anyways so my arms are achy now, tbh idk about anyone else but captain would be the first person I came out to ( as well as pat ) because he's just Amazing
