Survival

I told my friends about what happened yesterday. Syempre, nagulat sila sa sinabi ko. Pero mariing bilin ko na hindi malaking bagay ang nadiskubre nila. I can't top them. Ayukong isipin nila na may hinuhulma akong legacy. Maraming estudyante ang nagulat dahil sa ginawa ni Calloway. Many student wonder if I did something to him.

I pant as we demonstrate the push up. It is still dawn and the nipping cold air was surrounding the brink.

"Ninety!" he shouted.

Lahat kami ay napahiga sa damuhan matapos ang push up. Beads of sweat was wandering my neck, back and forehead. Matapos ang ilang segundo ay tumayo kami, catching our breath.

The mountain, forest and the lake below is clouding with fogs. Our breath is visible throughout the thick air.

"Alright, that's all for today." Mr. Falcon said who's hair is dishevelled.

May towel din na nakasabit sa leeg ko na kanina ko pa pinupunas sa likod at noo ko. After this I'll head to the food counter to eat my breakfast.

Bago pa ako makapunta roon ay nakasalubong ko si Lew na may dalang dalawang container ng pagkain. Napahinto ako sa ginawa niyang paglahad ng isa. An overwhelm feeling exuded inside my stomach. Medyo bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko sa hindi mapaliwanag na paraan.

"Lew, sana hindi ka nalang nag-abala pa." I reached the container with a red cheek.

His silky hair dance as he shook his head. He licked his lips and also handed me another water bottle.

"Not a trouble." malumanay na tugon niya. "Mataas ang pila kaya kumuha ako nang para sa'yo." he added.

"Uh, thank you." I genuinely addressed.

"If you don't mind, I'm gonna do things like this, so I hope you won't avoid me." he scrunitize my very reaction.

Anong ibig niyang sabihin? Kahit may ideya na ako kung bakit niya ginagawa ito ay parang ayaw pa din sumanib ito sa utak ko. I'm still denying that idea.

"T-Tara, saan tayo kakain?" I stammer.

Umiwas ako ng tingin at naunang naglakad. Calm down, heart! I hate the way you beat for him. We went to the training obstacle course. Sa gilid nito ay mga maiikling damo kung saan kami umupo ni Lew para kumain. Silence ruled the atmosphere which seems deafening. Binuksan namin ang container and we started to dig in.

Weeks after the launch, the administer already sent four teams which is the second year excels and the more capable cadets. Ang susunod na sasabak ay ang mga first year naman. Unang isasalang nila ang mga excel bago sila pipili ng mga common students para makasigurado. That's why after the second year excels, ang first year naman para may oras silang makapili sa mga common students sa second year at first year sa susunod na mabubuong team. Ang unang sasalang ay walang iba kundi sina Calloway Dezaral—the leader, Luxy Zorion, Dagen Soril, and Alex Zarke—the three main or primary defense, Alice Hawthorn—the medic, Klaus Laxum—the cutter and the brain of the team, Lucy Zorion—the sniper and the eye of the team.

The next week are the second team, Clyd Titus—the leader, Reyda Hadena, Vasha Vixen and Clara Rousie—the main or primary defense, Yumiree Vyn—the medic, Lupitha Mogundra—the cutter and brain. Lastly, Serri Kinsley—the sniper. Nasa second team si Serri kahit na ikalawa siya sa rank dahil may parte silang ginaganap as a group. The second group has lot of girls compare to the first team.
