Good and Bad News

"Miss Mogundra, you'll not be included for this month's mission." pahayag ni Miss Syfin sa'kin.
I blinked a few times to register her words.
"Po? Bakit?" I asked.
"It's an urgent matter," she stated.
What kind of urgent matter does she pertain to? My face probably written in confusion right now that she read my questioning look so she stated again.
"It's controversial." tipid niyang sagot.
Mukhang seryoso nga talaga. What about my friends? my teammates? Kailangan kong magpaalam. Lalong-lalo na kay Ozcar dahil magkikita pa kami ngayong araw. I also want to excuse on my trainings baka hanapin ako nila.
"I should bid them my excuse."
"You also can't. You'll come with me right away, Miss Mogundra. I'll explain the details once we get to the Head Mistress' office."
My forehead knotted. Is it really that serious? Baka mamaya akusahan ako nang kung ano.
I followed her into Mistress Peregrine's lair. Pagkapasok namin sa kanyang opisina ay may mga kausap ito. It's Dr. Drusila and the other training incharge. Naroon din si Amayac at Yumiree at ilang mga trusted medics na kilala ko sa second year.
The door creaked close creating a slight distraction to the people talking in this room. They look at us before Mr. Jefferson offered me to accompanied the other cadets who has the same questioning look as me. Ano ba talagang nangyayari?
"You too, Lupitha?" manghang bungad ni Amayac.
Umismid ang katabi niya. "Duh, Mogundra is the most trusted assistant in this academy. Wag ma-shock."
I was still confuse kaya hindi ko sila nasago't tumingin nalang sa mga nag-uusap. They're not far from us so we can hear them in our distance.
"Dezaral's team will be set off any days now, which leaves Cooke's team on the last third mission." ani Miss Delvin.
"But we gotta pull off Miss Mogundra for the team and substitute Klaus Laxum." tumatangong sabi ni Mr. Olwane.
"For the fourth and last mission, we must be very meticulous in ways nothing can goes wrong." si Mr. Jefferson.
Kanina pa kami na eestatwa rito kaya naman tinawag ko ang atensyon ni Miss Syfin na tahimik lang sa gilid at nakikinig sa usapan nila.
"Miss Syfin, ano pong nangyayari?" I asked again. I hope her answers covers the rest of my another questions.
She tilted her head and eyed me. "We'll wait for the Head."
Sa sinabi niya ay napanguso ako. This made me even more curious!
The Head Mistress came towards us after she's done talking to Dr. Drusila. Iniisa-isa niya kaming tiningnan.
"Can I trust you all?" tanong niya sa'min.
Mahina lang ang pagkakasabi niya pero tila nahagip din niya ang atensyon ng mga administer na kanina ay nag-uusap lang ito.
