Swamp Forest

We deeply explored this swamp forest. The further we explore, the more darker this place gets. The mosses are now in much darker shade than before. Even the ambiance of this forest is getting creepier. Parang may nakatingin sayo palagi.

“Masama ang kutob ko rito.” ani Laimus habang sinusurvey ang paligid gamit ang kanyang visor.

“How the fuck we can't detect blood suckers in this fucking visor?” Lucy groaned.

She's been complaining how useless these visors are. I can't help but to agree too. Kanina pa status is normal kahit alam mo namang may mga mutants sa tubig. We already fought some blood suckers same as what we have seen from the marsh and from the first part of the forest. At kahit na ganon ay palaging nag-sisignal ang visor ng kulay green which means the area is clear.

“Maybe it's broken or something.” si Jaxon.

“Ha! I bet.” si Lucy.

“Keep it down, we can still use our human senses in this mission.” seryosong baling ni Calloway sa kanila.

“We can still fight without em'” tinapon ni Laimus ang visor sa tubig.

It's now has the color same as the obsidian black.

“Anong oras na ba? It's dark.” komento ni Junnie.

“It's still 9." sagot ko sa kanya.

“Why they're not coming out yet?” Zeniya was confused.

Our last battle was fourty five minutes ago and now it's still quiet. The air is thick and there's that pungent smell of it. The forest is very still and asleep like it has been slumber for so many years. The cyprees and mangrove trees reflected so perfectly on the swamped water. I wonder how deep it is?

Drowning could still be a possibility because mutants can pull you down.

There's no more dry land and all you can gaze now is a wide swamp water. Who knows how many mutants does resides beneath those black water.

Sa unahan ay mayroong mga rock boulders na masisikip at may nahahagilap akong mga kweba along with the now two times the size of the mangroves and trees here. And just by looking at it, mutants in there could be hundreds or thousands.

“Now what?” tanong ni Reyda.

We all stopped and think of something. Clearly, we can't crossed this swamp by just swimming through it.

“We can't swim this.” umiling si Laimus.

“Tss, clearly.” umirap si Lucy at umatras.

“We can make something to get across." Calloway stated and he turned to us with a frown.

Junnie picked up the long and thin branch near her. She use it to level the water in the swamp and to our questioning look, the stick drowned.

“You could be the next if you'll do that.” she snapped.

“That would be nice isn't it?”

I surveyed the water then to the mangroves above. As I wondered my eyes, an idea went to me. Bumaling ako sa kanila at lumapit.

“We could build a raft.” sabi ko.
