THERE WERE DARK AND SILENT SKIES, above the Rocky Mountains with heavy fog obscuring the top of the mountains, everything was damp and damp while raindrops fell down onto the car windshield wipers. There was a cold chill in the air at the same time that all of the windows were closed.
As the car drove down the abandoned road along the empty street, Steve was driving, Y/n sat in the passenger seat, and Sam sat in the backseat after an argument over the front seat. It has been rotating driving since they left Ohio.
While the water droplets encircled her view, Y/N sat at the window and observed the scene passing by.
Y/n listened to a familiar beat on the radio. As she cranked up the volume, she moved aside. The radio started playing "Bye, bye, Miss American Pie." Y/n softly hummed, increasing the volume of the radio.
"Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry...Them, good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye...Singing," Y/n hummed, looking at the mountains that they passed, "This'll be the day that I die..."
"What do you know about this song?" Sam asked, seated up in the back seat with his arms crossed. "Steve doesn't even know it..."
"I do," Steve said, his sunglasses on while raising his hands a little from the wheels in response. "Buck wrote it on the list, so I was going to get to it..."
Her bottom lip was awkwardly bitten, while she tried to hold back her smile, turning back to the window flustered to watch everything pass by, and holding herself trying to warm herself up while Steve turned the heat up. It was obvious she was the cause. The list stated it clearly.
"It's a family song," Y/n explained, wiping softly the top of her thumb without looking at either of the two men. "Me and my sister Yelena... Used to like the song, Nat did not enjoy listening to it every two seconds..." She explained with a smile on her face.
In addition to looking back at the road, Steve glanced over at her. "Plus, all because I'm twenty-five, doesn't mean I don't know old music...Sam you're talking like your a dinosaur..."
"Yeah but half of this time, you have been trapped in this Red Room.."
Y/n hummed understanding, "Is it still a thing?" Steve asked, glancing over at her. Y/n withdrew her head and shook her head. She was certain that Dreykov was not dead and that Natasha had not killed her father but only his daughter.
"A lot happened in that horrible place," Y/n said, biting the inside of her cheek, revealing more of her Russian accent. "I spent half of my life there....they turned me into the fighting super solider that I am now"
"You're a super soldier?" Sam asked sitting up while Steve turned his head to her.
"It is part of the graduation ceremony..." Y/n whispered before going silent. She did not say anything else. During the time she stared blankly at the moving road, she recalled the memories associated with the ceremony.
"Didn't Natasha take it down? During her S.H.E.I.L.D training?" Y/n shook her head.
"Only killed Dreykov's daughter..." Y/n murmured, "But I bet she was only collateral damage.".
Sam slept peacefully while listening to music while taking another nap. "It should be close by," said Y/n as she lifted her head.
The music was turned off, while the radio started to speak. "After the Sokovia Accords, the hunt is on for the remaining Avengers...Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff are currently on the run...We are also looking for Wanda Maximoff, Sam Wilson, and Y/n Ivanov" Y/n, and Steve exchanged a glance, causing her to sigh and turn the radio off.
