WITH INFINITY STONES FIRMLY grasped in their hands, the team emerged from the Quantum Tunnel back to their spots just like they had never left. As they checked to see if they had done it right, everyone let out gasps and sighs of relief.

A sigh could be heard from Y/n as she shook off the suit, looking down. The first question Bruce posed was, "Have we been able to collect them all?".

In response to Rhodey's question, holding the Orb in one hand, Y/n smiled and nodded her head.

An explosion was heard, and Y/N turned her head toward Clint. Clint fell to his knees, forcing everyone's attention to focus on him. His face was solemn and full of regret. Y/n's attention turned to him, and he became more pensive.

Her eyes began to water as she looked at him. When she looked around at everyone, the only one not in attendance was, as she pursed her lips and her bottom lip began to shake, holding back her emotions.

Natasha-

Her eyes glistened with tears, and she tried to hold back her tears while she looked at Clint.

Bruce turned and asked the question that Y/N did not wish to answer. "Clint where is Nat?" he asked.

Clint's silence confirmed the theory and he couldn't look anywhere else but down at the ground, without meeting anybody's gaze. A soft gasp was heard when Bruce realized, and Tony was left feeling as if the world had stopped.

While the gazes of those around her were turned toward her, Y/N did not say anything. She just exited the compound, escorted down the tunnel, and made her way to the door.

As Steve followed her out, he looked around in a thoughtful manner. When she learned the truth, Y/n walked outside in a state of perplexity, feeling like the world was collapsing, she stood near the lake which caused the waves to move in her ears.

Her hands slowly began shaking while she coughed and tried to cough up tears. As she struggled to breathe, she gasped for air as she gasped for air. Y/n rubbed her forehead in an attempt to calm herself down.

Natasha could not have died, she could not have died.

Steve embraced Y/N as she held her head in his hands as wept into his chest. In the midst of her sobs, Steve stroked her hair while Y/N wept. She had lost her only family. It was the only person whom she could truly refer to as "her family".

"We have to continue for her," Steve muttered, rubbing her hair.

After she moved her head and wiped her tears, Y/n sniffed and ran her fingers through her hair. "I knew, I just had a feeling she wasn't going to return," She muttered looking forward towards the lake. Steve looked down at her while she looked at him, her eyes tired.

"I loved her, but I never told her I loved her"

In solidarity with the two, the rest of the team left as well, looking at Y/n despondently. Bruce, his eyes red, stands alongside a bench on the dock, while Y/n sits down, wrapping her arms around her legs, and putting her head on her knees.

Steve, Tony, Thor, and Clint stood behind him, grieving, and Y/nF felt as if he no longer had any connection to her. In the end, Natasha was the one attempting to help her, which led to her spending half of her life hating and disliking her.

"Do we know whether she has a family?" Tony asked, looking at Y/n.

"They are all snapped, Mother Melina...Yelena...and Alexei-" Y/n muttered, "She only had me...But if you're talking about birth-" Y/n shook her head, while wiping the tear that was falling from her eye.
