SEVERAL DAYS LATER, little has happened for Y/n to be concerned about. The night was low and Y/n rested her head on Bucky's chest, the material of his shirt rubbing against her ear. During her time spent in the darkness of the hut, she concentrated on Bucky's reduced heartbeat. Bucky's arm was wrapped around her holding her close to him. with the blankets are on both of them.

The two lay in peaceful silence and were both unable to wake up, simply holding each other tight. ThIt was perhaps the best feeling both had ever experienced. His hand softly ran through her hair.

Bucky, who thought she was asleep, was wide awake and looking up into the ceiling. Suddenly, there was a knock on the wall. A glance down at Y/n was followed by Bucky slowly pulling his arm away from Y/n, before getting out of bed. In contrast, Y/n turned her gaze to Bucky while Bucky walked over to the curtain, opened it and popped his head out.

Hearing his footsteps walking away on the floor made her stomach drop but she just laid there looking out the curtain.

"Your Highness..." Bucky spoke as he stared at T'Challa while Ayo was standing close beside him. Bucky fully walked out of the room into the darkness as Y/n viewed the curtain. "Is everything okay?"

"I apologize, Sargent Barnes. Mr Rogers is on his way over with the other Avengers. I recommend you get the best rest possible. He stated that Wakanda was facing a threat."

In response to his sigh, Bucky nodded in agreement. "How big?"

"He didn't say," T'Challa explained, "Your arm should be ready by tomorrow before they arrive, meet me where you take care of the ghosts..." Bucky nodded his head, once more before exchanging a glance with Ayo who gave him a small look of pity.

"I will be prepared," Bucky stated, his disappointment overflowing in his body, while T'Challa responded with a nod of his head.

T'Challa nodded his head again before all of them walked away, from the hut. A sigh could be heard from Bucky as he gazed into the distance with his arm by his side. After leaving the hut Bucky entered the hut again and found Y/n sitting up with her blankets wrapped around her, and the sidelight on.

Her only clothing consisted of a tank top and shorts. "Hey," She said, looking at him. Despite the fact that Bucky could not recognize her, a pitiful expression appeared on his face. Before slipping into bed next to her again, he walked over without saying anything else.

Y/n laid in the bed next to him, while looking into his face. While lying on the bed, Bucky turned his head to look at her, and the two of them gazed at each other. "What happened?" Y/n asked, looking at him.

"Wakanda is under threat..." Bucky explained, Y/n huffed turning and looking at the ceiling, while she leaned over and turned the light off again. "So-"

"We are going into another fight?" Y/n uttered while nodding her head, and biting down on her cheek, Bucky nodded his head.

With his arm wrapped around her shoulder, he pulled her back into his heart, having her head resting on his shoulder as she studied his breathing once again. "This is all my fault-" Bucky muttered, "N/n..."

"No..." Y/n said shaking her head, and closing her eyes. "Please, stop talking like that." she began, nuzzling her head into his shoulder while closing her eyes. "Can we just get peace? Now?" Y/n asked, moving her head in front of his, and opening her eyes. "Because you know that it isn't true...We don't know what the threat is...do we?"

"Nothing in the world can stop this," Bucky muttered, recurring her, "You made me feel something this whole time in Wakanda..." Y/n became flustered while shaking her head slowly, as her eyes started to burn to let go of her cheek causing the tears to glisten in her eyes.
