"Look at what I found, Nee-Chan!" My attention was drawn to me by a young voice. As he ran over to my form, which was hanging some items outside to dry, I turned to look at the ebony-haired boy with a small, comforting, smile.

Before returning my attention to the younger lad, I took a cautious and haste glance around the area to ensure no one else was around, and to my delight, no other presence was seen or felt. "Kazuya, what did you find?" As he came to a halt in front of my figure, the latter smiled warmly at me, his hands concealing an unknown object hidden behind his back.

Kazuya was always an articulate young man. He is always willing to assist with tasks and is quite responsible, especially for his age. Only when he was around me did he act like a typical nine-year-old, energetic, joyful, and overall some great company through this time of feeling as isolated as I did. When he was younger, he would often follow me about the home and would always look after the triplets when everyone else was occupied. He would always bring home flowers when he went to the nearby village when help me sell wood, which I always loved about him as he would almost always give them away to those he believed deserved or needed them, even if they were just a stranger.

The boy grinned as he spoke. "Close your eyes before I show you!" He rolled on his heels excitedly, obviously excited about his newest discovery of, what I assumed to be, flowers or floral decorations.

I sighed in response, giving in to the boy's request, and closed my eyes. The darkness greeted me with an ebony blanket as I felt a hand tuck a strand of hair behind my ear, then place a light object on my head. My brows furrowed in bewilderment as I hear Kazuya take a step back.

"You can open your eyes now!" I heard the youngster exclaim, and as he called, his voice was filled with joy.

I fluttered open my eyes and winced, from the bright light, before squinting my eyes due to the startling brightness of the sun's rays that soon overwhelmed my sight, allowing their warmth along my skin to have greater sensation than before, when all my senses were fully awake.

I looked at the younger boy in front of me who grinned as my eyes adjusted to the brightness. "Do you like it?" he said shyly, a light blush adorned over his freckled cheeks. I looked at him in confusion before moving my hands to my head, to take off the object that rested on my head. The boy took my hands in his with a gentle grasp. "Don't take it off! I put a lot of effort into it!" His cheeks puffed out while he pouted, his brows furrowed and his eyes stern like a mother scolding her children.

He suddenly began to drag me through the woods to a nearby river, I sighed and lowered my hands from my head as we walked, or well, he dragged me behind him as my sluggish and tired figure strolled behind him. I stared at him, puzzled, before he motioned me to look at the reflection in the waters. I crouched over the tranquil lake, to stare at my own reflection and my mouth parted in surprise. "You've been acting different recently..." He spoke softly and sadly while fiddled with is fingers, anxiously, as I continued to stare into the pond with wide eyes.
