My body hurt.

My whole body hurt like it had been pummelled by a brick for the last twenty hours. It hurt like it had been through years of training with no breaks, leaving all of the muscles and bones to hurt like never before.

It felt like most of the bones on my body had been broken. Oh, wait. They were.

With a grunt, I lazily opened my bloodshot eye with slowness.

The room was dark and filled with particles of dust. Boxes of all kinds littered the room as the wooden floor creaked when little movement was made. As I was kneeling, my arms were forcefully outstretched on either side of me by the pink vines of cloth and my mouth was covered with the fabric. The fabric was also tied around my waist, securing me in place.

Dried blood surrounded my newly made scar and had stained the cloth that covered my mouth. The slash ran down from my eye socket, which was now missing an eyeball, and stopped just above my lip, meaning some of it was being suffocated by the cloth around me, causing me to wince.

My cheeks held a mix of dried tears and blood as my body was held in place by the pink ribbons. I slowly and painfully raised my head up to meet multiple pieces of cloth lazily dangling from the ceiling in no orderly fashion whatsoever. No light came in through the room, the only source was a single candle that was dimmed that lay in the corner of the room.

I had no idea where I was. The last thing I remembered was the demon stabbing through my eye before my consciousness faded into an inescapable ebony black.

Where was I? What was I doing here? Where's everyone else? Are they alright? Did Muzan plan for this to happen?

My head swarmed with hundreds of thoughts all at once, leaving me a confused mess.

My skin was extremely pale and my chest heaved in pain and I coughed into the ribbons around my mouth, adding another pain to my body through my lungs. My form shook in the cold and dark room as my senses slowly came back to me, almost hesitantly.

My eye scanned the room as the other burned in pain and held no vision to see through at all. The scar hurt more than most of my body due to the burning agony it held compared to any broken bones. It brought panic, fear, and anxiety flooding through my head, making more uneasy and anxious questions fill my mind and causing my only one pupil to shake.

What happened to my eye? Will it affect the way I fight? Will I be able to see again? Does this mean I have to retire again? Is Sanemi going to kill me?

The creaking of floorboards snapped me out of my daze and turned towards the sealed wooden door with a wide eye. It slowly creaked open, letting a dim candlelight through the room and letting it rise on my form. I flinched when it reached my eye, causing me to squint due to the new and sudden light it brought to my vision.
