Sharp nails dug into my arms as I stood in the middle of the living room. I remained motionless, exhibiting no fear towards the creature as his cold breath fanned against the side of my neck, sending small shivers through my body out of pure fear. "Well...where is it?" He put his head to my ear, intimidating me as he moved closer towards my body, leaving me to tense up, attempting to keep my breaths as steady as humanly possible..

My fists clenched tight together, my heart thumping against my chest like a drum as jitters ran throughout my shape. "What do you mean?" I spoke innocently as I put my hands behind my back, my voice wavering slightly as a breath escaped my lips.

Before responding, the man scoffed, his hands clenching tighter around me. "You know exactly what I'm looking for." The demon retorted, his tone cold and his voice fierce.

"Do I?" I let out a sigh, my hands trembling at my sides and my throat turning fry at my own words.

I knew he wanted me to cower away in fear. I knew he seeked nothing more than to drive me insane using pure terror. But I wasn't falling for it. Not after all this time. No matter how terrified he wanted me to be, I refused to feel it. I refused to give in to the likes of him. I have never stood up for myself before, not against my mother, and not against him. Screw listening to my captors, to the ones inflicting unimaginable pain into my life.

I wasn't going to give in. I wasn't going to lose.

Within the blink of an eye, the demon moved in front of me, snarling disgustedly at my shape. He hoisted me off my feet while holding the collar of my garment. For support, I gripped his arm, my teeth grit and a bead of sweat rolling down the side of my face. "Don't play dumb. Tell me where it is or I will kill you without hesitation." My pupils shook, my feet begged to touch the safety of the ground, a safety that would not come any time soon.

Having a shaking inhale, my lips soon released a chuckle. It was filled with fear, yet it also reflected the laugh of a madman, especially in this moment. "I couldn't care less about my own life, so go ahead" I smirked. It was shaky, but my lips managed to do it, no matter the difficulty.

The demon showed little response before his lips released the words I dreaded among anything else, yet words I knew he would soon fulfill, no matter if I told him where the flower was or not. "Then I'll kill the others."

I sighed impatiently, my eyes rolling at his words. I was filled with imaginary confidence. "Can you tell me how many times you're going to repeat that threat?" His beady eyes narrowed as I continued on. "After a while, it gets dull, y'know" He wasted no time, throwing me to the ground, where my back collided with the hard floor before he raised his foot.
