After being bitten in the shoulder, the young woman screamed.
Tanjiro didnt hesitate to run up to the couple, as I moved to assist.
Tanjiro abruptly turned to face me before he reached the duo and ried. "I'll look after the couple! Don't let him get away!" I was taken back before I could say anything, just to be interrupted again. "Don't worry about me; I'll be fine! Go! We can't afford to let him get away!"
I froze for a moment before nodding hesitantly. "I have faith in you, Tanjiro-kun." I gritted out. "Be careful." I nodded to the boy before turning around and heading into the next alleyway, leaving the boy to cope with the matter on his own.
When I made it to the alleyway, I jumped onto the nearest roof and began to sprint along the tiles.
Running as fast as a bullet, I flew across the rooftops, searching for the demon. 'his presence is so overwhelming that I can't pinpoint his exact location! I need to find him!' I thought in desperation while furrowing my brows and gritting my teeth in frustration.
I began to take a deep breath after scanning my surroundings. 'I'll have to be subtle if I'm going to find him; otherwise, I'll be dead in milliseconds.' I scoffed.
Wind breathing, 13th form: Discreet puff
As I ran, my made no sound. There was no trace of my shadow. I fixed my gaze on the slight ripple in the air in front of me.
I had ceased from sight.
The best part about this form is that nothing can see me. I could stand right next to Tanjiro, and his nose wouldn't pick up a thing.
Although the only problem is that there is a faint, microscopic ripple in the air that conceals me. When a person looks at this ripple directly, they will notice that my being is there. Since my complete presence is concealed, that would be an uncommon occurrence with anyone, although it is possible with a keen eye. This form also requires plenty of concentration, as it can be used without a weapon.
As I desperately searched the rooftops, I relied on nothing but my eyes and ears to do the most of the work while attempting to keep my form from being removed. That was the only problem with this form. I cant use my senses as I normally do.
This went on for approximately a half-hour before I spotted movement in a nearby alleyway along with a bloodcurdling scream.
I sprint over to the scene before I crouched on a rooftop above a dark alleyway, lightly panting.
I peered over the edge of the roof to get a better view at what was going on in front of me.
The demon stood in an alleyway with a young man cowering in fear beneath him. The young man clutched his bleeding shoulder as he attempted to crawl away from the ebony-haired male. The man's eyes were wide with fear and tears threatened to fall.
