Chapter 20: Rootbeer's Here To Save The Dave

AJ takes a deep breath as she looks at Dave, she finishes telling her story to him "And that's what happened when I was in heaven and how I ended up on earth." Dave sits there saying nothing as he heard everything AJ told him "Dave?..you ok?" "..........Hm? Oh um yeah i'm ok just trying to process this there's just been so much i don't know how to react" Dave stands up and walks to the window and looks out "My brain needs a lot of time to process all this learning about my father being alive and stabbing me, knowing angels exist now and meeting one that met my mother and she's also an angel now, she sent you down here to keep an eye on me make sure i don't lose myself from anger...." Dave sighs and head towards his bed and reaches under and pulls out an A&W root beer, he opens the can and takes a small sip and AJ looks at him with this confused look like where the hell he just got that can of rootbeer at "Um quick question Dave" Dave lowers the can away from his mouth and gulps down what he had in his mouth "Sure what's up?" "Where did you get that can of A&W root beer?" AJ points at the can that he is holding in his hand "Oh this can? I just got it from under my bed" "Under...your...bed?" Dave nods with a smirk as he points at his bed, AJ looks under the bed and sees multiple cases of root beer lined up in a row to keep it organized each case is a different brand of root beer, A&W, Mug, and Banq's Root Beer, "Jesus Dave need enough of rootbeer?" Dave chuckles as he takes another sip from the can of root beer in his hand "After killing so many demons for quite some time in a day i reward myself and sometimes the other guys rootbeer to celebrate with some good old fashion rootbeer!" he gulps the rest of the rootbeer and crushes the can "Ah much better!" AJ raises an eyebrow "Is this really all you guys drink? Is there anything else you guys drink other than root beer?" Dave rubs his chin thinking for a few "Hmmm well we sometimes like coke cola cherry, mountain dew, and many more" "I'm surprised you consuming so much root beer or sodas in general your teeth hasn't started rotting away after drinking so much pop how is that?" Dave shrugs "Idk sometimes i question myself that some points" Dave and AJ chuckles. AJ gets up off the bed and stretches "Man im feeling thirsty can i have one of your root beers?" "Sure thing AJ here i get you one" Dave reaches under his bed "Which one you want? A&W?,Mug?,or Banq's Root Beer?" "Mmmmm give me A&W" Dave smirks "One A&W coming right..............up?" Dave smirk fades and continues to move his hand under the bed quickly "What's wrong Dave?" "I'm ....all out of rootbeer...." he checks each box seeing no sign of cans in the boxes "Ohhhhhh." Dave facepulms and laughs "I forgot i made me , Skull and Surge rootbeer float that one day i used up most of the cases dame i should've check my apologies AJ" "Nah it's okay Dave besides you can get more right?" "Yeah true i so can, here you stay here at the house i'll go to the store and get some more okay?" AJ shakes her head and walks to the door leading outside of Dave's room "How about we go together and get some root beer also we can talk more about stuff while we're shopping" "Hey not a bad idea AJ alright let's go get ourself some root beer!" Dave and AJ leave Dave's own room and exit through the front door as Skull is seen sitting on the steps that are leading off the porch. Skull looks behind him and sees the two "Oh hey guys what's going on?" Skull says as he turns around and stands up "Me and AJ are gonna head to the store and get some root beer i forgot that one day we used a good amount to make us rootbeer floats that one day so we're gonna get some more shouldn't take that long Skull" "Ah alright bro make sure to get enough to last us for awhile" "You got it Skull come on AJ lets go" AJ smirks as she looks at Dave and nods and turns to look at Skull and winks which causes Skull right hand lights up on fire and the color is blue, Skull quickly hides his right hand behind him, AJ giggles "Gotcha again Skull we'll be back" Dave and AJ begin to head off to the store as Skull watches the house. Dave and AJ walk for awhile talking about things soon they show up at a store and they begin to look around for new cases of root beer, the store is kinda small but has a decent amount of stuff like food, snacks, drinks like every other store has, Dave looks at the aisle of pop as AJ is looking at the snack aisle wondering what kind of snack she's in the mood for, the cashier looks at his phone and sighs and mumbles "Still have a lot of hours left to go before i can leave for the day....ugh times really going slow" the front doors slide open as someone walks into the store and walks to the counter "Oh hello sir you need anything?" the figure softly reptiles "Yeah....." the figure revealed to be a man with a black ski mask and he pulls out a glock 19 and begins to point it at the cashier "GIVE ME ALL THE FUCKING MONEY FROM THE CASH REGISTER RIGHT NOW!!!!!" "Okay okay just please don't hurt me!" the cashier begins to open up the cash register and takes the money out. Dave hears the yelling in the front so he hides in one of the aisles and looks for an opening to reach the robber, AJ sneaks while holding a bunch of snacks and manages to reach Dave "AJ stay behind and stay quiet you hear me?" he whispers as he looks behind him and sees AJ holding alot of snacks and is holding a bag of sun chips cheddar in her mouth, Dave shakes his head chuckles quietly and whispers "You goofy stay here with your snacks i take care of this problem" AJ nods and she moves a little and drops one of her snacks, the snack hits the floor making a small sound as the robber turns his head and points his glock at one of the aisle "Who's there!? Show yourself" Dave slowly reveals himself as he holds his hands up "Alright you caught me sir i was here getting some root beer and-'' Shut it! I'm just here for the damn money alright!? so stay back!" "Okay man relax '' Dave keeps his hands up but slowly approaches the robber "Dammit i said stay back!" Dave stops in his tracks "Why are you doing this man what's the money for? drugs?, power?, or for your family if its family this not the way so please put the gun down" "You don't know me dipshit i just need the money and im leaving thats all so fuck off!" Dave shakes his head "Just tell me i know you're scared and you know the truth on why you're doing this. I can see it in your eyes'' the robber looks down a little as tears slowly start to fall down from his eyes "I....i do have a family....i...have a daughter and a wife at home needing to be fed we hardly have money to afford anything it's horrible" the robber lowers his gun slowly as Dave walks calmly to him and takes the glock from his hand "It's ok you don't need to do this there's a better ways on helping your family i know there is you just gotta try ok?" the man nods slowly and looks at Dave ''Thank you....i need this. I won't do this ever again I'll make sure my family-" something grabs hold of the man's head he begins to scream as the creature pulls the man up in the air holding onto his head in its mouth "SHIT!" Dave yells and tries to help the man out of the creature's mouth "DAMMIT LET GO OF HIM!!!" Then a loud crunch can be heard as the creature lets go of the man and he falls onto Dave, "argh.....dame creature and.......no" part of the man's head was taken off the only part that was left was his bottom jaw. Blood squirts out as Dave looks at the man's dead body with this shocked look and he looks at the creature that killed him. The creature was the cashier as his neck goes back to its normal size and licks his lips "Mmmmmmmm tasty i couldn't wait anymore longer time was going too slow" "You long neck dick bastard!" "Hm?" the cashier looks at Dave "Oh my apologies Dave was you trying to help that man oh i'm sorry" he laughs as he jumps over the counter and stands in front of Dave, Dave reaches behind his back for his sword and....he left his sword at home "Aw crap..." the cashier punches Dave, sending him into the food aisle as he hits the wall Dave shakes his head "Dave!" AJ drops her snacks and runs to Dave "AJ! Look out!" the cashier swings at AJ she ducks in time and shoves the cashier making him go flying, he lands through the counter and lays there "heh heh heh i say that girl got some strength for an angel" he gets back up and hides somewhere in the store. AJ quickly runs to Dave as he lays against the wall "Dave you ok? Are there any injuries?" as she looks around him for any injuries but soon is stopped by Dave "I'm alright AJ im used to this being thrown, hit, cut so don't worry i just need to find a way to kill that damn demon or creature whatever that thing is" AJ nods and smirks. Dave sees something behind her as something coming towards them, Dave quickly grabs AJ she had this confused look when being grabbed as Dave moves her out of the way the creature's stretching neck comes towards Dave and Dave manages to stop it from reaching his head. He holds onto the creature's head as it chomps its teeth towards his face "Jesus your breath stinks!" he struggles to hold on "AJ A LITTLE HELP HERE!?" AJ runs to the cash register and grabs it and hits the creatures neck with it, the creature makes this weird crackling noise sounds like it's laughing soon the creatures body moves and hits AJ making her fall to the ground, Dave tries punching the creatures face but shows no affect soon the creature takes a bite of Dave's arm "ARRRGH!!!" it bites down hard on his arm making blood squirt out AJ slowly gets up and sees Dave's arm being bit, seeing Dave being hurt something made her click as she dashes towards the creatures body as stands there she slides between it legs and...grabs onto its dick that's still in its pants and squeezes extremely hard as there's the sound of something popping and flesh being crushed can be heard. The creature screams as it lets go of Daves arm and returns to its body as it places its hands on where his dick and probably his balls used to be, the blood bleeds through the pants the creature lays on its knees in pain "WHY THERE!? ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!" Dave gets up and sees the creature in pain questions what the fuck did AJ do to him soon he grabs a fire extinguisher off a nearby wall and walks up to the injured creature "DAME YOU TWO YOU BOTH WILL ROT IN HELL!!!!" Dave smirks and nods to AJ as she grabs ahold of the creature's mouth and opens it up wide "No you rot in hell you ugly sumbitch!" He sticks the fire extinguisher into the creature's mouth and fires the dry ice into its mouth causing the creature to choke from it. Dave keeps it going for a little bit soon the creatures eyes roll up showing hes dying Dave stops and pulls the fire extinguisher out of its mouth the creature makes this gurgling sound then falls to the ground dead, Dave sighs in relief then holds onto his arm as its bleeding badly "Dame creature got my arm good" AJ quickly goes to Dave and looks at his arm, his arm is bleeding badly as it has this big bite mark on his arm some of the flesh was torn off a bit "Here i help Dave hold still" She begins to heal his arm Dave mumbles "I didn't save him....it's my fault i didn't save that man" "Dave don't blame yourself you did your best to save him and fight that creature off" "I'm sorry AJ.." Dave looks down "I don't mean to bring down the mood after successfully killing that demon together i just feel worthless somepoints like what if you wasnt here and fought it on my own what if i fuck up and get killed" Dave shakes his head "I may have you guys but sometimes i still do feel like im always alone" AJ finishes healing Dave's arm and then quickly grabs him from his jacket "Your being overly dramatic you goofball quit being sad for no reason you-" Dave quickly leans in and kisses AJ on the lips surprising her as her eyes go wide soon they close as she accepts it. After a little bit they stop kissing and AJ's face is really red and blushing at the same time "W-why did you kiss me?" as she touches her lips with this confused but happy look like she doesn't know how to feel, Dave chuckles "Well it was more a thank you for saving my life but seeing your beautiful eyes up close i couldn't resist kissing you" "R-really?....i....um....." words fail to come out of her mouth after what happened, Dave grabs ahold of her hand and leans in closer and smiles at her and whispers "I love you" AJ looks at Dave in the eyes and replies "I......love......you.....too" AJ then smiles and blushes as Dave does the same he leans in more and gives her a quick kiss and hugs her as she hugs him back "I.....never.....t-thought i....fall in love with a human" Dave chuckles "Well i never thought i fall in love with a beautiful angel" AJ smiles. Dave and AJ slowly get up as AJ holds onto Dave's arm, Dave looks at AJ with this smile on his face as he seems to be more happier than ever before, they go get the root beer cases from the pop aisle and before Dave payed for the root beer cases he grabs a bag of sun chips cheddar for AJ and then proceeds to put the money on the counter and a little note that reads "If the owner of this store reads this well sorry about the mess your cashier was a demon so i took care of it and i payed for the cases of root beer and a bag of chips so no worries i didn't steal anything so have a great day sir! From the one and only Dave the demonhunter" Dave and AJ leave the store holding hands carrying the stuff they bought from the store as they head home. Olivia watches from above and smiles as she whispers "My goofball im so proud of you you've grown up so much you two belong together," She closes her eyes and smiles "AJ keep him and the other boys safe no matter what."
