Percy's P.O.V.

I knocked on my mom and Paul's apartment door.

I stood there stared down at my toes while I waited for her to answer.

After a couple of minutes, I figured she wasn't home and just took a seat on the steps.

I had no where else to be.

Annabeth's P.O.V.

I tried to tolerate Leo all throughout the day but it was hard. Really hard.

We literally sat around and made phones all day with the exception of going out every once in awhile to be seen together but it didn't matter.

I looked everywhere we went for Percy but we never even crossed paths.

It was really frustrating.

What was the point of wasting my only training time of the year with Leo if Percy wouldn't even notice.

Maybe I should talk to him, but what would I say?

Hey! You know, I happened to notice you sucking on Drew's face with her shirt unbuttoned. Care to explain?

No. That's a little harsh.

I didn't want him to be upset but it's only fair..... Right???

Percy's P.O.V.

I had been sitting on the steps for over a hour just thinking.

"Percy?"

My mom walked up the steps with a surprised face as loads of grocery bags started to fall from her hands.

I jumped up to help her as she digged in her purse for the keys.

"Perseus, how long have you been here? Is something wrong? Where's Annabeth?" She asked

"Not long," I lied "I just need to talk."

"Okay," she said concerned as she pushed the door open "Come in, come in."

I followed her in and put the groceries in the kitchen.

As I put them away for her, my mom put some cookies in the oven.

"Well I'm glad you came sweetheart." she said as she plopped down in a chair

"Why?" I questioned

I leaned against the fridge drinking a water as she talked.

"Well I have missed you. You know I don't get to see you a lot and I wanted to ask you about how the weekend went..." She said

"Well I've missed you too mom but you know that's a little awkward to talk about..." I said kind of sadly

"Oh! I know that! I don't want to know the details and how much!"

"Mom!!!!"

"Sorry! Sorry!" She said putting her hands

"Besides," I mumbled "It doesn't matter anymore."

"What Percy?" My mom's face turned sad as she looked for an explanation

"I-We-aren't-" I couldn't finish

"Oh no." She started

"Um, we aren't... Together... Anymore" I started to tear up

"Percy, tell me what happened?"

"I can't- I kissed-"

"Percy! You didn't!" She started to get infuriated thinking I had purposely cheated on Annabeth from hearing one word
