Chp 12. The Friends

Annabeth's P.O.V.

I walked out of the bathroom and heard a scream.

"Percy!"

I bolted around the corner to see Percy falling to the ground like he was passing out.

Oh good! Two down, one to go!

I leaned down to exam his head. I really hope he didn't have a concussion.

"Oh my gods! My baby!" Sally yelped

"Mrs. Jackson." I said putting my hands out to calm her down "This is a flashback. He should be ok. I hope..."

I kneeled down beside Percy and grabbed a dish towel off the kitchen counter and folded it up as a head cushion for him.

"We should attempt to move him to the couch." I said starting to get up

"Ok" Sally said

For the next 5 minutes, we pulled, dragged, and lifted Percy to the couch.

We were both extremely tired and we both slumped into a seat.

Percy started to mumble which meant he would be shivering soon. I didn't want Sally to see me kiss Percy so I turned to her:

"May I have a ice pack for his head?" I asked Sally

"Oh certainly!" She said as she rushed off to the kitchen

I turned towards Percy and smashed my lips to his.

I broke away and his mumbling faded away along with the shaking that had started.

I sat there and stroked his hair as Sally came in with an ice pack.

"Here you go." She said "I hope this works."

"It's fine." I said as I laid it on his head

"So what kind of problems have you been having?" She asked

"Well... I have nightmares that wake me up screaming for Percy or out of fear, or I sleep walk and people say that I attack people like they are monsters. So... It doesn't work out too well and makes me constantly tired." I replied

"Oh darling, that's terrible!"

"Yeah, that's what we have been trying to fix and poor Percy will sometimes barely eat after having a flashback." I stated

Percy started to move and we both turned to him.

"Mmmm....." He said

"Percy?" I questioned "Are you ok?"

"Uuuhhhh.... Annabeth?"

"Yeah, it's me, Seaweed Brain."

"Again?" He said with a grin

"Yup! And what are you smiling about!" I said smiling

He just smirked and sat up.

"Uuuugghh!" I said slapping his arm playfully

"I'm guessing we don't need the ice pack anymore?" Sally stated half questioned

"No thank you." Percy said

She walked off and I laughed.

"You little perv" I giggled into his ear

"Sure am!" He said with a smug laugh on his face

"You're Impossible!" I said to him as I continued to laugh

He laughed and pulled me close.
