Chp 33. His Side

Percy's P.O.V.

I soon realized the person coming wasn't Annabeth.

It was Drew.

What was she doing here?

I know this sounds like a jerk thing to say, but she is driving me crazing following me around lately.

I don't know what her deal is, but I need her to leave.

Annabeth will be here any minute.

"Why Percy, what are you doing here?" Drew exclaimed

"Aren't I always by the beach?" I said to her "And anyways, I'm kind of busy."

"Well, she said walking over to me, I thought you would want to talk to me." she said

"I mean, I know you have have Annabeth and sure she's great and everything, but I know you have something special for me." she said putting a hand on my chest

"No, what are you talking about?" I said

"Come on Percy." she said soothingly

She slowly unbuttoned the top buttons of her shirt. She smiled and stepped closer.

My mind went a little fuzzy and warm.

"I know you have something for me.' she repeated again

"Wha... uuuhh... no...uh.. yes... what?"

My mind was going blurry what the heck was she doing.

She reached out to put her hands on me again.

I grabbed her hands and attempted to move her hands away, but she kept coming.

"Come on Percy." she said lightly once again

She pushed her breasts against my chest and I found it hard to move with her grip and tone of her voice.

She shoved her lips to mine forcing me to move.

My mind was frozen, and I put my hands on her hips to push her away. I couldn't though. This girl was a freaking vacuum. She wouldn't get off me, and she must have been against me awhile.

What the Hades is wrong with this chick?!

I finally threw her off of me and she laughed.

"What the heck is wrong with you?" I said to her quietly hoping no one would hear.

"Oh Percy." she said coming towards me again

I threw my hands on my head and faced the ocean.

"Oh gods. Drew, what have you done? Annabeth. Oh no. Annabeth."

There was a rustling on the path, and Drew ran away as Annabeth stormed out.

Shit.

She saw.

I know she saw.

"Annabeth!"

"How could you?" She cried "How could you?"

The fight went on and I couldn't get anything out.

I was still dazed from the way Drew talked to me.

The explanation was sitting on my tongue.

I wanted to kill my self seeing her like this.

She was crieing, and I couldn't bare to see it as I looked at the ground in shame.

It's not like it was my fault, but how could she think I was cheating on her.

Tonight was supposed to be great.

Campers gathered around and Annabeth tried to leave.

I called, but she ignored me and the girls got around her.

Clarisse yelled at me, but I didn't listen.

Annabeth bumped into Drew, and I lost it.

I tried to go after her, but the boys held me back.

There was no point anymore.

Annabeth left, and I put my head in my hand to yell in frustration.

"What is all this?"

Chiron appeared in the crowd and everyone fled.

It was just Leo, Jason, Nico, and me now.

I turned and faced the ocean.

My face was hot and my adrenalin was pumping.

Jason quietly whispered to Chiron.

I started to walk away. I was about to cry. I, Percy Jackson, was about to cry.

It was too much.

"Wait!"

Nico and Leo chased me while Jason continued to talk with Chiron who looked very concerned.

"Percy!" They continued

"Guys, just leave me alone. I can't even process what just happened." I said wiping off my face

They kind of backed away when they could tell I was tearing up.

"How could this happen?" I stopped "My whole life just fell apart in five minutes."

"Percy, It will be okay." Nico said attempting to help me

"I love her, and I didn't cheat on her. I didn't." I said helplessly

"Bro, then why were you making out with Drew?" Leo asked

"I don't even know! I tried to get her off, but she wouldn't even budge!"

"I bet she was was charmspeaking." whispered Nico in Leo's ear

"Whatever," I said glumly "There's nothing I can do now. Tonight was the night."

"You were going to do the proposal tonight?" asked Leo

"That's why he was avoiding her all day like when he was at the arena." added Nico

"It doesn't matter anymore." I got more upset. "I'm just going to go for a swim."

"Percy wait!" said Jason running up from talking to Chiron

I was already in the water.

The water wasn't helping me anymore. I guess it can't help me with everything.

What do I do now?

Do I talk to her?

How do I explain that?

She went from thinking I was proposing to I was cheating on her.

There's no way to fix this and not even one of Leo's mythical machines will do the trick.

Gods, I need help.
