THEY HAD VISITED their mother a few months ago. Before everything had begun. Before the war that was commencing. They had warned her, they had told her to be prepared to run at any time. They had told her to be safe and they would handle the rest. But that saddened Rei.
Shiro was only sixteen and Touya was only in his early twenties. None of them should have this sort of responsibility on their shoulders at all. They should be the ones to be taken care of, not the other way around. What was her purpose of being a mother if she couldn't care for her children.
Why is it that she was so useless. She had been useless ever since she had been married to that man. She hated the feeling. But when her children had come to her that day and told her that they would handle everything- she felt contented and assured that they really would.
