Pin glided across the field with Elvis in his Holloway suit, the whole Bright Fields gang there with you watching him go. Everyone seemed to be shocked about it, and you wanted to scoff at them. If they had only given Pin a chance to show his skills aside from shovels and cleaning, they would know. He would be riding at Bright Fields with them, and not with Holloway. You hadn't seen Pin like that in a long time, and he seemed like he was in his element - you felt happy for him. Someone finally appreciated his skills.

"I'll talk to him." Zoe sighed, stirring you out from your thoughts.

"I'll come with you." you nodded along, and Mia's gaze jumped between you two.

"Do whatever it takes. Get him back to Bright Fields." she told you, and you tried your hardest to stay quiet. Nobody at the Bright Fields knew because you had been keeping it as a secret, but you and Pin had had something going on for the last few months, and you definitely weren't going to get him back to Bright Fields if he didn't want to. You were going to show your support, whatever he wanted. Zoe just nodded in response.

Soon you were both sitting on Holloway's couch in total silence until Zoe turned towards you slightly.

"Maybe you should talk to him alone. He listens to you more." she muttered, and you nodded slightly.

"Yeah, maybe."

"Mia will run us both over with Firefly if we can't get him back." Zoe sighed and shook her head, standing up from the couch. "Text me when you've talked with him."

When Zoe had left the building, Gaby descended the stairs, looking over at you.

"Whatever it is that you're planning, it won't work. Pin won't return to Bright Fields, he's with us now." she told you, and at the same moment Pin appeared from the doorway. "I heard your friends Y/N and Zoe talking. They want to persuade you to return to Bright Fields to ride for Mia."

Pin frowned at you, a flash of hurt going by in his eyes and you shook your head with a groan. "No, it's not that. Listen to me. I understand. And I'm not trying to get you to escape or anything." you grabbed his hand. "I only care about that you're doing fine, and that you're safe."

A surprise was evident on Pin's face. "I expected you to be a little bit mad."

You shook your head. "Why would I be? You're safe. You aren't going to get arrested." you smiled, and glanced at Gaby who had now descended the stairs and watched you, surprised herself too. "Thank you for not getting him arrested."

Gaby nodded with a slight huff. "As long as he's riding with us for the nationals, it's all good. And... I honestly thought you were going to throw a fit, my apologies."

You chuckled. "That isn't my style."

Gaby offered you a slight smile. "It's good to see that Pin has so supportive partner."

You immediately felt your cheeks heating up. "O-oh, we're not... together. Or not like that."

"Sure. Yeah." Gaby shook her head. "Pin, you can leave with your... friend... now. Offer them a ride home. Stop by to admire the sunset, weather cast said it will be beautiful today. And Y/N, you're welcome to visit Holloway whenever you want to watch Pin ride and cheering him on. Surely you want him to beat Bright Fields too?"

But before you could answer, she was already gone, leaving you flustered with Pin. Pin smirked at you slightly.

"Thank you, Y/N." he said after a while, his hand found its way to the side of your face and he pressed a light kiss on your forehead. You felt like your heart stopped for a moment as you stared up to him when he pulled away. He let out a breath he had been holding, he had been nervous about it himself too. Sure, you had had an unspoken agreement of a relationship, constant flirts and picnics while watching the sunset, but this was the first time he actually did something like that publicly. You stared at each other for a while, until he cleared his throat.

"So... can I give you a ride home?"
