The crunching and rustling of the leaves complemented the brilliant blue heavens above the many vast, white fluffy clouds that softly glided through the skies. The trees towered over the figures alongside me, and the remote tremendous mountain featured snowfall on its summits, which looked out against the clouds. While the creatures and nature chanted an enchanting symphony, my locks and haori floated with the blades of grass.
Tanjiro and Zenjitsu stand next to me while Inouske slouches next to The burgundy-haired boy. Zenitsu held the end of hy haori like a child while Tanjiro held my scarred hand with his rough but gentle palm. Zenitsu shook out of fear beside me while Inouske proudly crossed his arms over his chest.
The kind old lady stood in front of us with a kind smile. "We're heading out now" Tanjiro spoke with a smile while his earrings flowed. "Thank you for everything" He and Zenitsu bowed while I nodded as thanks with a soft smile. Inouske stared at us with confusion.
The woman bowed back and then took two things out of her pocket while smiling. "Now then, for good luck." She remarked.
I smiled at her kindly. "Thank you, we appreciate it." I spoke as Tanjiro and Zenitsu and I turned our backs to the woman, making Inouske tilt his head.
The woman began to light the sparks and the boar-boy started to freak out. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOU OLD HAG?!?!" He attempted to attack the lady, but I held him back by grabbing the back of his clothing with a deadpan.
Zenitsu began to scream. "What the hell are you, a moron?!" He stood in front of the lady for protection while Tanjiro tried to help me. "She's striking sparks for good luck! It's a purification ceremony!!!" He yelled while the woman beside him didn't react in the slightest.
I spoke up softly but strictly. "She's wishing us luck because we're going on a potentially dangerous mission." I spoke with a light chuckle afterward. "Now, please calm down." I let go of his clothing and Inouske huffed before crossing his arms. I smiled lightly and sadly. 'He reminds me of Sanemi back in the day.' I thought as I stared at the boy calmly. I snapped out of my daze and called out to the boys. "Let's get going. Someone might be in danger and I don't feel like burying bodies any time soon. " I turned after giving the lady a small bow and walked away from the estate, not waiting for the boys.
Zenitsu stumbled after me while calling my name while Inouske ran at me with full force in an attempt to bring me down. Unfortunately for him, I dodged and he ended up on the ground while I held a smirk. Tanjiro followed after us while deadpanning at the scene.
After a while, we began running to the location in an attempt to get there faster. I slowly jogged while the others ran. " "With great pride"? "Luck in battle?" What does that mean?" Inouske spoke annoyedly. I sighed.
