Fortunate or unfortunate, Dhira's arrival at New York a week before helped her to do some shopping and set ups to her apartment.

It was a modern apartment, close to her workplace and city plus weirdly too comfortable to be arranged by her branch.

Dhira had asked about it the first day she arrived to Maha and she said that everyone of their colleagues who get transferred would be accommodated here.

Dhira has set up the house for a temporary stay because who knows how long she's gonna survive here - or survive at all?

Dhira sighed when she was satisfied with her low ponytail. After Dhira had taken her medicines, she left.

Dhira settled well immediately as the new colleagues were extremely hospitable and friendly to her.

Dhira was surprised to see them welcoming a new recruit so warmly.

She was going through some light work she was given to settle down when suddenly someone knocked on her cabin door.

Dhira looked up to find a lean young man who was probably of her age, smiling brightly at her.

He came in when Dhira waved,

Hi!

Hi!

Pudhusa vandhurukeenga'nu sonnanga. Adhan vandhu patuthu polamnu vandhen.

Oh

Dhira nodded her head before she stuck her hand out,

I'm Adhira

I'm Shakthi

They shook their hands and talked for a while. They mingled very well and became good friends in just 30 minutes.

Ama, unnaku sondha oor yenga?

Shakthi asked Dhira,

Chennai dhan. Unaku?

Na.. born and brought up here. Ippo thaniya dhan irukken

Shakthi said shrugging and Dhira understood that he had no one. She smiled before he asked,

Nee yepdhi? Un family yellam Chennai'la dhan irukangla?

Suddenly Dhira felt hard to breath at the mention of home, everything, everyone of their faces flashed in her mind as she gulped down the lump in her throat and answered smiling,

Illa

🦋

Dhira was blankly staring at the busy bustling city outside with her chin rested on her arms on the table.
