Spot was happy with his life.

He had a husband and daughter he loved with all his heart and a job he enjoyed doing.

Overall, he couldn't really have wished for more in his life.

Work could be busy at times but he didn't mind it, it kept him busy, especially on the days where Race was working late and Clara had homework.

He was doing some paperwork from his patients that day while Clara was in her room doing homework.

It was how their evenings went most weeknights, Race usually came home around 5:30.

"Dad," Clara screamed, distracting Spot from his paperwork.

The absolute fear in her voice made something inside Spot break. He quickly stood up from his chair and rushed up to his daughter's room.

He particularly started to panic when she wasn't there, and her bedroom window was open.

"A Stór, where are you?" he called out, his negative thoughts getting the better of him.

"I'm in the bathroom," Clara called back in response. "Dad, I think I'm dying."

"In what way?" Spot asked gently. "Like when your papa's a bit ar meisce or do you feel like you're actually dying."

"No, I don't feel like I'm dying. I am dying."

Spot breathed slowly, not wanting to let his emotions get out of hand. "What's happening?"

"I'm bleeding and," Clara's voice broke. "I don't want to die Dad."

"I know darling. You're not going to die, I promise. Just keep telling me what's wrong. Where are you bleeding from?"

"I don't know. I went to the bathroom and it was just there," she explained, panicked.

Spot sighed slowly and dropped his head onto the door.

"Baby, I don't think you're dying. Remember when we were telling you about periods?" he said slowly. "I'm sure that's what's happening."

"So I'm not dying," Clara repeated slowly.

"No, you're not."

The door burst open and Clara flung herself on top of her dad. "I love you so much Dad."

"I love you too a stór. Why don't you go get into your comfiest clothes? Everything you need is in the bathroom and then we can watch a movie and I suppose you'll want a pizza."

"I kind of want Chinese," Clara said, as she walked into her room.

"On an Italian night," Spot said in fake horror. "Your papa will be mortified."

"Do you think he'll mind?" Clara asked. "I don't want to upset him."

"I don't think he'll mind, we have Italian foods most nights anyway," Spot pointed out.
