This was requested by @katara_lynn Sorry it took so long to write. I've had a hectic few weeks. Hope you enjoy.

"I'm not letting you see him," Jack said, blocking the door so Race couldn't escape. "It's bad luck."

"Jackie, please. I need to see him."

"Give me a good reason and I might let you."

Race sighed and walked over to the soft couch in the room he'd been given to get ready in and to wait in until the ceremony had started.

"He can't tie a tie. I always do it for him and Hotshot always does it wrong and it annoys Spot," Race told him. "I'll do just that then come back. Good? Okay, bye."

Race tried to run out of the room but was stopped by Jack picking him up and throwing him onto the couch.

"Hey, be careful with the groom. We just got his hair to look somewhat normal," Crutchie shouted. "And Sarah says she'll be here in ten minutes to do finish off his hair and do his makeup so don't mess it up."

"I just really want to see him," Race admitted to Jack. "Please let me see him."

"You said yourself that you didn't want us to let you see him," Crutchie reminded Race, sitting down beside him.

"I know I did but all he wants is for this day to be perfect and if I'm stressing about it then he definitely is."

Jack frowned. "Why are you stressing?"

"I'm not stressing. I just know that Spot was worried about it not being perfect so I'm worried about him. Please let me see him," Race begged.

"You'll see him in two hours, Antonio." Race looked up with a smile at his mother's voice. "Now, get up and let's get you ready."

Race let his mother usher him around, helping him tie his tie and put on his cuff links. He'd never admit it but he would be lost without Medda. Even as an adult.

The door opened slowly and Race tried to see who it was in the reflection from the mirror. When he couldn't see anyone, he just passed it off as someone knocking into it or a draft that opened the door.

"Papa?" The small voice made Race realise why he didn't see the person in the door. She was too short to be seen.

Sarah stopped styling Race's hair and patted his shoulder, going to talk with Jack. Race stood up and walked over to Clara.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, crouching down in front of the four-year-old. "You're meant to be with Uncle Albert and Uncle Elmer."

"Is Uncle Jack here?" Clara looked past Race excitedly.

"Yes, Uncle Jack is here with Uncle Charlie and Gramma."

"Uncle Charlie? Put me down, Papa. I want Uncle Charlie."

Clara ran across the room, though it wasn't much of a run as her legs were so short, and straight into Crutchie's arms.
