Part 100 in this book :D It'll be a long one so yea

I know this looks long, but please read this context so that this chapter makes sense.

So, this is based on La Cage Aux Folles, which is a French play that was turned into a lovely musical of the same name. It was also turned into a movie called 'The Bird Cage' with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane.

In the original and those adaptations, the basic premise is that a guy wants to marry his girlfriend, but her parents are conservative and his parents are a gay couple. One of whom is a drag queen, and the other one runs the drag club.

They have dinner at their house and get the guy's biological mother to pretend to be his mum for the night. The dad who is the owner of the club pretends to be married to his son's mother, and the other dad leaves. The mother never shows, so the drag queen dad dresses up as the mum and then the conservatives find out that the dads are gay.

In this version, John and Sherlock want to get married. Sherlock is open to his parents that he and John are gay because they are open and accepting, and they know he's gay. John is not because his parents are homophobic, and they think he's straight. John and Sherlock agree to pretend that John is marrying a woman, and Sherlock pretends to be John's fiancé's brother.

John is 21, Sherlock is 20, Mycroft is 23 and Greg is 24

The next chapter will be based on a drawing by @jordanlostagain

Sherlock's P.O.V

"This isn't going to work!" I hissed. I had my phone up to my ear, and I was trying to not speak to loudly, despite my nerves.

"Love, please calm down. We'll figure this out-"

"No, we won't!" Normally, the gorgeous voice of my fiancé was enough to calm me down. But, not this time. "How is this going to work, John? It's impossible!"

"We can do this, sweetheart. You know I'd do anything for you, and this is no exception." John lowered his voice, and I started to calm down a bit. "I love you. I want to marry you and spend the rest of my life with you. I'll do whatever I can, I promise."

I sighed, rubbing my hand over my face. "Okay. I trust you. Of course I trust you. I love you too, John." I heard my dad ascending the stairs, and decided I needed to end my phone call with John and talk to my father. "My dad's here. I have to go."

"Okay, sweetie. I'll call you later. I love you."

"I love you too." I whispered. I hung up and placed my phone down on my desk. My father opened my bedroom door and I spun around in my swivel chair to face him.

"Hello, Father."

"Sherlock. You seem tense. What's wrong, kiddo?" He walked over to me, and I stood.

"Father, I need to talk to you downstairs." I talk like a dictionary when I'm nervous, so my dad clearly knew that I really needed to talk to him about something important. "Get Mother. She needs to hear this as well."

I pushed past him and ran downstairs. I saw my brother sitting at our dining table, and realised it was best he knew about all of this too.

"Sherlock? What's going on?" Mum asked, coming into the dining room with Dad behind her. Mycroft looked up from his phone (he was texting his secret boyfriend) and I knew that I had their undivided attention.

"I must disclose a sensitive piece of information with all of you." I mentally scolded myself for speaking in such a pretentious way. I sounded like a prick. "I need to tell you something important." I corrected myself.
