We usually want to keep good relationships a secret. Sage and Sekani's didn't start right away but they get there and once they do they keep it to themselves for a while.

My kids turn 7 today. I was gon cook this morning but decided not to because then they most likely ain't gon eat later.
Me- "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"
Lax- "kani shut up." they were sleep. I didn't know Lena came and got in the bed with him.
Lena- "it's like three in the morning"
Me- "it is almost twelve, get up" they both sat up at the same time and I sat on the end of the bed.
Me- "happy birthday"
"thank you"
Me- "y'all ready for today?"
"yes"
Me- "ok i got y'all present, you want it now or later?"
"now!" I got up and went to my room. I upgraded their iPads so they haven't had theirs for like two days but that's because I traded them in. I went back in his room and handed them the bags.
"THANK YOU" and they jumped on me.
Lena- "you got me a new case!" I got them both one
Lax- "and some new headphones"
"thank you kani"
Me- "y'all welcome, but go get ready we have to get to the park now"
"ok" I made sure they were ready before I got ready.
