After physically crying herself to sleep in her locked room, Y/n dreamt about her days in jail and all that lovely stuff. She couldn't believe that Joss had made those things happen to her. Joss had been trying to get rid of Y/n for a while.
It broke Y/n's heart because she had still had a little hope for her aunt. Yet none of that was just because Joss was an evil person. Y/n couldn't do anything.
The broken girl decided she wouldn't let anyone find out about this because Y/n's time in jail had been the worst of her life. No matter how terrible Joss was, Y/n wouldn't become like her and try to get her in jail, especially when jail was such a terrible place. She'd told Genius it was only a couple of days but it was really a couple months. And those months had been absolute hell.
Peter, of course couldn't find out because he wouldn't let Y/n continue her life normally. She remembered the time she'd told him she was raped and he didn't let her out of his sight for a whole week. A continuous sleepover at his house.
Y/n had locked out how she had managed to get out of the frey last night. She wasn't aware if Joss was in the house or not but Y/n wasn't taking any chances.
Of course now Y/n's ribs were totally fried and crushed once again. All healing that may have occurred was out the window and they once again ached to walk. But she had school today and people weren't supposed to know that she was in pain.
Shuffling to her dresser, the girl fumbled for a year old concealer with a crusted lid. She hadn't wore makeup often anymore but she used to wear it a lot when she was younger. Here and there she'd cover a zit and the occasional hickey but never bruises from her aunt.
Welp, there's a first time for everything.
Before she even applied it, the girl just stared at herself. The fact that she was nearly unrecognizable with a huge brown and purple spot covering her whole right cheek. That wasn't the only thing, some blood covered her other cheek and crusted on her forehead as it branched up beside her eye. Tear stains were ghost trails under her eyes that were clearly sorrowful.
The girl cleaned it up with disinfected wipes, biting her lips in the process because it stung.
Blurring her eyesight, Y/n did her best to cover her mess of a face. Her best, which was actually quite good and she successfully covered up most of the bruise on her cheek and under her eye.
The girl couldn't do much for the thick line caused by a shard of glass that Joss had punctured her skin with after Y/n tried to fight her.
Most of her fighting that night was rage based so she was terrible. That was why Joss had gotten the advantages and marked up her face all the while Y/n was screaming and withering under the woman's pressure.
Finally, Y/n had got the upper hand and knocked Joss out after she'd gotten her bearings. Y/n hated that she had to do that.
It was no falsity that Y/n cared about her aunt, even though Joss was hurting her, Y/n would never want Joss to face those things.
And the girl realized that the fantasy of a villain era were that of a child because this was a very real situation. Nothing could top that. People were getting hurt and Y/n turning to be just as bad as Joss wasn't the answer.
Y/n needed to keep ahold of herself most in this time because it would be so easy to change. To become as bad as Joss.
After some thought, Y/n decided to be bold and she fished out her red eyeliner and started making flame outlines from her eyelids to her crease, fanning out in a form of a wing. Adding some light eyeshadow to her lids, the girl then added bold lashes--layering mascara on her already dark eyelashes.
